I have created four characters so far..and now I am wondering if each character represents a new gamefile or if these can be used together in the game?
In other words will I have to start over in the game if I want to use my second or third character or can they all fight together?
Does each character you create represent a new gamefile in the game?

None of your created characters will be in a party together. You create one character for one playthrough.

It would be nice to create a full party, but it seems like the companions we can pick up in game will cover all the different party roles.

If you look in your Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Pre-release Characters folder, you will find that each character is saved as an individual .chr file. Seeing how you can load up individual character within the character creator, I cannot seeing it being that much different with saves. Something to the effect of what Mass Effect had probably. Could be wrong either way.

In an unmodded game, at least. You might be able to change that in the toolset.

Yep, for the official campaign that's true, but hey, maybe we'll be able to play more of our characters together in a player-made module

Assuming you can edit the OC from the toolset I see no reason you couldnt replace NPCs...

I would be interested in seeing someone mention a way of how you can create a new game then save, exit out and move another character (items gold exp) into that new game file replacing that files character with a character from one of your other files. I guess essentially this would be a kind of new game + feature lol
