Side-to-side comparison of every ending, under three minutes long:
Just for anyone who wants to claim that BioWare wasn't lying or that the endings are varied.
Those are just the cinematics. The actual "endings" are pretty much everything from Cerberus on, and are effected my which races you chose to bring with you, and which you chose to end, or not. While those choices may not be featured in the cinematics, they are a factor in how the universe is left when the cinematics end. It's a bit of flawed reasoning to consider only the last ten minutes as "the ending." Depending on how narrowly you frame it, almost every Hollywood movie has the exact same ending, "fade to black."

Now you're just arguing semantics, and I think you know it. The ending, the end of the story, the resolution which comes after the climax and the falling. Have you ever seen a story telling graph? It baffles me everytime I see this argument, it seems like everybody who tries to defend the ending attempts to do so by claiming the ending is larger and larger segments of the game. Either starting from the touchdown in London, or in some cases people claiming the entire game is the ending (as it's the last game of the trilogy)

The ending is how things resolve, not the last thing you see. If you, say, saved the Rachni in one, that will lead to a different ending than if you didn't. It doesn't change how the last ten minutes play out very much, but once they're done, the universe either has Rachni in it or it doesn't based on your decision. The universe that your game's Shepard left behind is significantly different than the one mine did in several ways, probably, even if we both chose the same ending sequence and got the same cutscenes.

Interviewer:
[Regarding the numerous possible endings of Mass Effect 2] “Is that
same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?”
Hudson:
“Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to build
the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about eventually
tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is coming to an end
with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At
this point we’re taking into account so many decisions that you’ve made
as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way
like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings
there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C.....The endings have a
lot more sophistication and variety in them.”
“We have a rule in our franchise that there is no canon. You as a player decide what your story is.”
This is not a lie, he said that the ending was not A, B or C
In fact it was Red, Green or Blue
All very ridiculous

Wow.... look who has nothing else better to do. I didn't like the ending to Mocking Jay, but you don't see me picketing in front of the authors house and demanding a new ending. I say it sucked and move on with my life
Anyone else see the Irony inherent in this post?

Well... the poster certainly missed the point of us being miffed at not getting what we were told we would... and I assume that the creator of 'Mocking Jay' didn't fill the pre-release talk with tons of promises that weren't kept.

He has the right idea! Never buy another BioWare product. They have made it very clear they care nothing for their fanbase, nor their credibility.
You're worth more than that, people. Don't stoop down and throw your money away.

Nah no need to get all sweaty and get a ulcer. You get more flies with honey than vinegar. If they refuse to fix the endings to where you have a chance for a good, bad and ugly ending, and add enough to single player that you don't need multi player,I'll just stop buying BW and EA,no New games or DLC for old games.Holding the line with respect.Lunatic LK47 wrote...

Neva....
Expectations always killed the cat.
If there's one thing I've learnt about video gamer's rage it's that it doesn't last...6 months and people will get over. The second thing I've learnt is that the rage never impacts sales of the developers future games or DLC (people might say they'll never buy another bioware game, but I'd bet they will
I just hope they release some alternate ending to make people happy...not a replacement ending,,,or 'fixing' the ending...just an alternate one for those who are really upset. I think it's important that sheppard dies, along with the entire crew...but even in the current ending there's a chance that doesn't happen, so the may as well do the 'disney' thing...
