The ending was predicted two years ago.

That...Would...SUCK Would turn all of Shepard's (and everyone elses) struggle into a sideline.
Exactly. There are two endings I wouldn't like for ME 3. One being a random GOD LIKE force that saves the Galaxy or another being that to defeat the Reapers, everyone has to become a primitivst and destroy the Relays, Citadel, etc. Both would make me pretty unhappy as those endings have been done to death.
Thoughts?
this is one of those things where if you fold a 20 dollar bill in a certain way you see the world trade center smoking.
also, it's like the writers saw his post and went, "wait... that... sounds... GENIUS!"

Let's find this person and ask his prediction on the ending DLC!
I like the way you think.
If we find him soon enough, we can all be spared even more disappointment.

Pretty amazing how coincidental this kind of stuff can be. Still, I think it's funny this guy cites two endings he would hate, and we basically get a mix of both of them.
While it would be easy to say: he's using general scenarios, he didn't 100% guess it..
I think it's funny how the general premise of this ending is awful. And when someone had to give a scenario they would hate, they say this.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is now my favorite thread on the Citadel.

"Two things. First, Dr. Muzyka's post does not claim that they will be changing the ending. What he said is that the endings "will help answer the questions, (and) provide(ing) more clarity". Further tweets from the Mass Effect twitter account have also stated that the endings will not be changed. This is, of course, not what the Retake Mass Effect movement is after. For starters, there isn't any plausible way to answer our questions without completely changing the ending.
Second, to answer your question of "how does this affect the idea of games as an art form?", it doesn't. Video games are not some painting that the artist did and then hung in a gallery somewhere. This is a commercial endeavor. Making your customers happy is GOOD for business. Besides, not only have games like InFamous 2 "caved" to pressure from fans and made artistic changes (albeit before release) receiving praise from people on G4TV.com, but Bioware has always said that they are actively looking at fan responses. Entire portions of DLC have been created due to fan response in the past. Why is taking fan feedback into concern now somehow "violating" their artistic integrity, when that's the same thing they've been doing all along?"
If I was writing ME as a story for a literature class and I came up with the Godlike Glowing Blue Boy saves the day ending, my professor would flunk me.

it wouldnt be a deus ex machina, bioware is know for their awesome story telling and i am sure that the discovery of a very ancient and powerful race of beigns will be pretty awesome, maybe they have to sacrifice themself at the end with the help of shepard and the other races perhaps, point is that it will be just stupid that shepard and the rest of the races solve the problem themself, are u serious? we are talking about reapers, why would they fail now when they have never failed before?
A straight on war wont help us win this battle no matter how many allies u gain. you need something powerful or ancient or a very very organized and perfect plan and trap (with a plan B and C in case)
