But then again I make it a habit to click through all the comments when picking a voice to see if it fits a character as the labels in most cases don't really help.

Seriously, people get irritated too easily at the smallest things. Have "Violent" set on my rogue, well over 20 hrs into her and hear it maybe every half hour or so.

Then you are a lucky one, I heard it almost every time I had my character do something. It gets annoying and it makes my character sound like a whiney ****. I counted 6 times in a row at one point.

Sometimes I wonder what in the world BioWare was thinking with this "lack of info" they seem to have applied to everything in Dragon Age. I sure would have liked to known during character creation, that my guy would spew out the line "My Warden sense is tingling!!". Funny line; ruined persona; restart.

You guys have nothing to complain about.
You should hear the german voiceovers for the player character.
They are all done by the same 16-year-old guy who tries too hard to alter his voice to fit the theme.
It's comical at best, I tell you.
This is just poor. Very poor.

There was a great line for "threaten" in the Clint pack... "you're gonna look awfully silly with that knife sticking out of your ____..."

And I know what I talk about, I'm playing the german version here.
And borders on insulting that King Cailan has the voice of a fifteen year old.
I mean, I'm dead serious.

Really, all you have to do is come up with a character concept in advance and then listen to as much of the 6 available voices as is available during character creation and pick the one that fits. Just choosing violent without listening to it first is foolish.
I created a female City Elf Rogue whom I thought would suit the cocky style, but during character creation there was one thing the cocky voice said that just didn't suit my character, so I went with Experienced instead and I'm more than happy with it.

And technically Cailan has to have a a somewhat younger voice since he's young, maybe in his early 20's

But well, yes, Germans and Austrian understand each other in terms of language.
With the Swiss it's another deal entirely. They speak a german-sounding language, but also French and Italian, all in the same small country.

Switzerland is a very diverse country with a mix of French, Italian, Romansch and German-speaking communities. German is the largest language group of the four but in almost half the country, German is not commonly spoken. Most German spoke in Switzerland is a Swiss dialect and is distinct from 'proper' German.

"Can I get you a ladder so you can get Can I get you a ladder so Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back?"
aaaaargh. I'd love to know how to modify sound packs so I could remove that one little part, since I can even handle "Alright, alright!" and I really love the other comments. It honestly wouldn't even be a problem if it played rarely, instead of being the most-used-phrase in the blasted bunch.
Maybe I'll just try to figure out how to import NWN sound packs. I like the "Blood makes the grass grow!" sound pack from there...
