So do you think the retake movement was worth it?

I say yes for two reasons even though we didn't get what a lot of us really wanted.
1)we raised a lot of money to help sick kids.
and
2) despite the fact that not much was won because of the media attention I am pretty sure game makers will be a lot more careful in future about what they say about their games.
What do you think?

Most of us stayed civil despite ridiculous levels of immaturity from the gaming media too.

If the ending was perfectly fine, would these kids have still gotten all your money?

And the picket signs will come back out if the news in April is bad.

To answer your question, though, yes, I think it's worth it. At least we helped a great cause.
Edit: ninja'd. A lot.

With no momentum, and the industry agaisnt them. And the Backlash/backlash really gaining stride it's time to retake to fade into the wind....

At the end of the day, that's more important than fixed endings.
(Though Bioware, if you're really looking to fix endings.......you know, keep on that.)

Well today seems to have been the end of the retake movement. People are moving on and it seems that we will get extened versions of the three endings but not more then that. So now that it is over and done with do you think in the end it was worth it?

It's far from over silly.
Are you the person that got up and left the theater while watching "Aliens" when Ripley / Bishop / Newt and Hicks all escaped the nuclear explosion on the planet?
"*whew* good movie!"
You missed some of the best parts leaving so soon.
Hold the line!

Your logic is ridiculous. You can't possibly be berating somebody for donating to charity? What does the reason matter?Simpfan wrote...

As i said I think it was worth it but since all we are getting are extended versions of the endings that make me depressed I think i will be removing the ME games from my computer and i will not be buying bioware games again. I'll stick with companies that don't let me down.
Thanks for holding the line and doing as much good as we did but I think everyone has given up and is done now so there really is no point in holding the line any more.
Thanks again for doing so much good.
