Look, the ball's in their court. They deliver the goods or many of the core fans will walk away from Bioware. That's a stronger statement then any movement. How much it dings them, who knows.

I find it a little sad that the only reason you raised money for sick kids was because you hated a video game ending.

If the ending was perfectly fine, would these kids have still gotten all your money?

I've always given money to charity and taken part in charity events etc, so for me personally yes I would have still donated. However, I dare say some people out there did do it for selfish reasons which is undoubtedly shameful.

You're the only person so far I've seen who thinks this is done. Which is fine, you're entitled to your opinion. Bioware is still asking for feedback regarding the ending, so we should continue to give it to them.

The first part of my continued feedback is "we want more than closure, we'd like a wide variety of endings".

Considering The store I shop at always has some sort of drive going I would say yes.
It wouldn't have gone to childs play but it would have gone to something else.

Definetly worth it to a veteran gamer like myself. Some of you may not understand what truly was achieved here, but to a Halo fan it makes a battle that was finally won for gamers. Back when Halo: Reach was released there was a strong outcry to change certain aspects about the gameplay that went unheard, and was not changed until the developer changed hats.

For a gaming community like ours to finally take a stand and succeed is a mark in gaming history. BioWare just changed the rules. I came into this movement remembering how developers hardly make changes based on fan input, especially game changing ones.

Thank you BioWare. You didn't conpromise what your company stood for, and stood true to your missions statement. You have my graditude and respect.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's over. Pacified for now, but over? Not so much. It's still on just not as up in arms as before (at least until April) and I still support raising money for the children. Just because we've made a point doesn't mean we should stop supporting a good cause.

what the hell are you talking about? it isn't over until it's over. nothing's been done *at all*, only slight hints at possibilities. it will have been worth it when something is *done*.

until then, i hold the line.

The public is agaisnt you. The media is agaisnt you. The Dev's feel you are entitled.

We haven't done anything, Bioware is just adding to what is there and are completely ignoring the issue. Really, it's that easy for you to give them graditude and respect already? Nothing has been released yet and the statement made by Bioware was one of the worst i have ever read within the gaming community. Insulting even.

I believe the movement did well. I'm impressed at how quickly people unified under a single purpose. Maybe the game taught us something :)

Nothing has been promised from Bioware; but acts of charity have occurred.

Good outcomes from the movement have already been achieved: The goal has not.

When did it end? SO Bioware tries to kiss and make up with some lame olive branch and we are all supposed to swoon and be like yeah its ok? SMH! Its not over until the DLC is released in my book and key issues in regards to development, plot holes and the sorry treatment of the LI's is addressed.

Completely worth it. And, even though Bioware might wish us to (and MintyCool, it seems), we are not done yet.

Don't abandon your post. Hold the line. Wait until Pax if they say anything concrete and then and only then the peace papers can be signed.

Not done 'til the fat lady sings. That said, it is worth it, even if we fall flat on our faces. At least we'll never be able to say that we did nothing.

Until whatever Bioware has planned for the ending is released, the retake movement will continue. But this announcement is a huge victory for fans. Though it is only one step forward, right now it is important to continue to help the developers ensure that this DLC will satisfy us as fans and offer the closure we desire.

Raising over 75,000 dollars for kids and meeting so many gamers who are as much commited to not getting screwed totally made it for me.

It is awesome fighting the good fight with all of you!

I think you have the wrong tense. Yes it is worth it and if a charity made money then cool.

Who thinks Minty looks sooo cute trying to start that flame? Posted Image
Minty I do believe there are several Forbes articles you need to read.

Yes, I do. I think it will continue and i believe it will be successful.
Because the retake movement wants certain things addressed before the ending is considered "fixed".
A) StarChild:
makes no sense, since it wasn't dropped or hinted at in any of the previous games, the "Catalyst" needs to be something that was foreshadowed previously.

B) Shepard acting like Shepard in regards to the final ending:
Shepard needs to have acted in accordance to the way his character has acted previously, this would go along way to the believability of any ending, even if shepard dies, we need to understand and believe this is something out shepard would do.

C) Character epilogue:
We would like to know what happened to our characters, If Shepard is going to sacrifice himself, we would like to know that it wasn't in vain and worth it. Especially in regards to my next point.

C) NOT DESTROYING THE MASS RELAYS!!!!:
I cannot stress this enough, part of what made this ending SO bad was the destruction of the mass relays, and stranding people and condemning them to a galactic holocaust of starvation, disease and death. With the reapers having torn up the majority of the galaxy, and no relays, this pretty much has destroyed galactic civilization, and pretty much the reapers win in any case. I think out of all these points, this is the one that needs to be reversed no matter what, because at least with the relays people can rebuild, and more importantly Bioware can have the option of making new games in the ME universe, especially the MMO they are interested in making. WithOUT the relays, this is impossible, and I don't know WHY Bioware hasn't realized this.

*After reviewing the video of both arrival AND the ending to ME3, I am very certain that the explosions were NOT Arrival style Nova explosions destroying the star systems. THe only deaths caused by those explosions would be what ever effect the "Cruicible" wave has depending on your EMS.
