As i said I think it was worth it but since all we are getting are extended versions of the endings that make me depressed I think i will be removing the ME games from my computer and i will not be buying bioware games again. I'll stick with companies that don't let me down.

Thanks for holding the line and doing as much good as we did but I think everyone has given up and is done now so there really is no point in holding the line any more.

His poker face was pretty atrocious.  Ah... Marauder Shields... How he loved the Hangover movies...and vodka.  Also a strange fondness for Asari prostitutes.  He may or may not have killed one, I cannot confirm or deny that accusation as proceedings are ongoing.

The Retake movement was definitely worth it, we made alot of constructive comments regarding the ending of the game which seems to have been taken onboard by Bioware (though to what degree yet remains to be seen). And I feel the movement is most certainly not at an end until we see something from Bioware.

Thats an Urban legend I heard it from a friends, aunts, second cousin who heard it from a CSEC Officer! The Reapers are trying to sully his good name with a baseless smear campaign!

I don't think we are doine just yet.

Simply because the only new thing in Dr Muzukya's blog was his sort of apology and his sort of acknowledgement that "houston, we have a problem"; everything else is stuff we have already heard before from Casey Hudson, Chris Priestly, and Jessica Merizan.

DLC is forthcoming.
Most fans have been civil and constructive.

And that's about it.

But yes it was definately worth the effort. A change needed to be made for both the Mass Effect franchise, and for the wider industry. If Bioware takes this first step towards making the industry more open, engaging, and transparent then hopefully we will end up with an industry that we can be proud of; an industry where Publishers dont pressure Gaming Journalism sites to sack their review staffers for poor reviews (Like Jeff Gerstmann from Gamespot over his Kane and Lynch review), where gaming journalists like Colin Moriarty don't exist, where trolls are identified and properly ignored and where people who have constructive criticism are seen and heard and not marginalised.

I am glad, and grateful that OUR concerns have been acknowledged as constructive and legitimate (leaving sites like IGN and douchebags like Colin Moriarty without a leg to stand on) and that Mass Effect may well get the ending it deserves.
But we must continue holding the line so that EA/Bioware don't feel tempted to just let this whole thing blow over, to let things revert to the way they were before, to let the IGNorant folks win.

Up to this point yes, the movement was worth it, not only for the amount of money raised for the kids, but for showing that people can be mature and civil throughout (for the most part, there will always be extremes on all sides). But as others have said, this is hardly over. We need to be patient but not complacent. This isn't over until we get something tangible.

Please let's not fall apart now and continue to hold the line.

Well today seems to have been the end of the retake movement.  People are moving on and it seems that we will get extened versions of the three endings but not more then that.  So now that it is over and done with do you think in the end it was worth it?

I say yes for two reasons even though we didn't get what a lot of us really wanted.

1)we raised a lot of money to help sick kids.

and

2) despite the fact that not much was won because of the media attention I am pretty sure game makers will be a lot more careful in future about what they say about their games.

It's still worth it, we need to continue pushing as, thus far, it seems the simply want to "clarify" and "explain" the current ending, an ending that is not salvageable. We're getting there, slowly, but we're getting there.

I don't live on the forums, but I don't pay much attention to the movement.  I'm sure there are plenty of mature and respectful opinions being expressed, but most of the posts that I've read have come off as being a bit childish, all wrapped up in some warped sense of entitlement.  It gets tiring.

I hear that a bunch of money was raised for some charity, so that's the best thing that came out of it.

I didn't know it was gone. Did I miss the memo? I have been asleep, I need to do that sometimes.....I'm still here, holding the line, until we find out what they have in store for us. They haven't committed to a new ending yet. Just extended content.
