Of course it was worth it if we helped save the ME franchise (not to mention raising money for charity is always a good thing)

I think this movement will be analyzed by a LOT of gaming companies because it had a big impact on the current paradigm.

Everyone here did good in an amazing short period of time.  If the ending is fixed and ME3 returns to its fomer glory, I'll glady shout it out to the world and get my friends to buy it again.

The gaming companies has to take notice of this movement and people already suspicious of these game sites like IGN will hopefully go somewhere else for reliable reviews.

Enough of these 'the movement is over' threads, seriously, it's not over until the fruits of our protest have been received. We must remain united and determined or else they might just decide to ignore their customers again.

I don't live on the forums, but I don't pay much attention to the movement.  I'm sure there are plenty of mature and respectful opinions being expressed, but most of the posts that I've read have come off as being a bit childish, all wrapped up in some warped sense of entitlement.  It gets tiring.

I hear that a bunch of money was raised for some charity, so that's the best thing that came out of it.

That is a shame that you have come across the bad side of it all.

I am sorry for that.

For myself I have found that most people, and topics seem to be civil and constructive, that there are only a few of the whiners cutting about and most of those are on pro-ending side.

For myself I don't get why people are so against the movement. I mean if successful it will result in MORE Mass Effect content; whats bad about that?

This is hardly over yet. Bioware has still not committed to fixing the game. The most they have conceded to date is that they will provide additional content to answer questions and provide closure. They are not addressing the nihilistic and nonsensical endings, nor are they addressing the fact that in the end none of the choices made during the ME series actually had a material impact.

For BW, absolutely. They learned how their grown-up and loyal fanbase is able to handle when something doesn't suit their tastes. But, probably DA2 should have been an enough warning but whatever. Maybe they won't try to be this 'original' with the endings next time. What I really find interesting however is their learning experience. One of the problems with DA2 was the blatant reuse of maps throughout the game. They did this with ME3 as well (N7 missions and MP), but I would say the presentation of it makes it okay. Maybe they will come up with a way next time how to present us 'lots of speculations' endings.

For fans, well, for them too. Probably they've learned why companies keep a spokesperson and how much louder idiots and retards can scream. How the actions of a few or one member is able to brand their movement as a whole. Maybe they noticed how unjust this whole branding a group of people for the doings of one member is. I don't think they noticed however how much of a hypocrite themselves are when they do the exact same thing while bashing BW as a whole or PR personnel for the alleged faults of one writer.

For me, well, I didn't care much about the endings anyway. I hope they will not postpone actual content because of this. I know that I had several hundred hours of fun with the whole series. Which, for under 150 EUR is a bargain. Sure, I don't really like the last 5 mins, but for me it's not any different than if that 5 minutes would be at the beginning.

what the hell are you talking about? it isn't over until it's over. nothing's been done *at all*, only slight hints at possibilities. it will have been worth it when something is *done*.

until then, i hold the line.

The public is agaisnt you. The media is agaisnt you. The Dev's feel you are entitled.

You lost: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9870213/1

quoting something from you thread there

Dr. Ray Muzyka announced that the Crucible/Cultural Synthesis narrative will receive major updates with future DLC in an attempt to clarify the ending.

With this news's, it's a major blow for Retake Mass Effect

afaik we want more clarification -- so this seems more like a victory to me

I will be sorry for Bioware when the movement ends. It means we will no longer give a damn about Bioware and ME.

Bioware should pray the movement stays strong and we care long enough to give them time to fix this. Otherwise we both lose.

LOL, it's over? Since when?
Well I guess there's only one way to find out.
Bioware that's your cue.
