Synthesis.
Not because of space magic, but because it doesn't even solve the problem it's supposed to solve. So long as people need food, water, and living space there will be conflict. And let's not even get into the fact that synthesis fails to resolve the underlying reasons why organics and synthetics start killing each-other in the first place.

That whole ending is an insult to the series. If I wanted to end up doing Deus Ex I'd have played that game instead.
They said vastly different endings, no A,B,C, our choices counted towards the end and even the rachni will have a huge effect in the last fight (what fight?)
How about we want the ending they originally planned? They can say all they want, but you can't convince me this is how they wanted to end it all along. Throwing in mysticism you can't dispute is just bad taste, if that is art I'd rather go to church.

Control. Considering Shepard spends the whole game telling TIM he's insane for even considering it, Shepard then picking it herself makes about as much sense as standing on one leg and hopping around whilst Harbinger's firing at her.
