Synthesis hands down. Not only is it gobbledygook Space Magic, if you follow Starboy's warped logic it's also a repeat of the same damn mistake that created the Reapers.

It exits purely as a Golden Mean and frankly its stupid that it's even the hardest to unlock. Who the heck tries harder for the booby prize?

Synthesis is by far the worst one. You spend the entire series fighting unholy abominations of synthetic and organic beings, learning that the reapers themselves are created by harvesting organics... only to be told that one of the ways synthetics and organics can live together is to become one.
When the star child told me that was one of the possible endings, I thought it had to be a trick. It couldn't be serious.

I would like to get rid of all of them, but in deference to the OP I hated Synthesis the most as it is the most jarringly out of place option and essentially boils down to magic.

I'm all for replacing the synthesis ending with one where the Cruicible puts hats on all monkeys in the galaxy.

I would like to replace "synthesism" with a pair of Hanar ******. That would make more sense, and be wildly more entertaining.

Agreed.

Synthesis is the one I would remove. Control is just reprogramming the Reapers while Destroy is doing what the Crucible was intended to do. Channel energy through the Citadel which is the Heart of the Relay system to spread a wave of destructive energies that interfere with Reaper Tech (thus killing Reapers and messing up some of the tech we have). Both tame in comparison to Synthesis.

In my opinion, having the the entire galaxy get burned a la Halo would be less of a magnitude of power as subtly but quickly rewriting all life in the galaxy to become a merger with synthetic life. Synthetic ending, which is a interesting idea from a philosphical stand point, is way too much for any story like this.

There should be a what would marauder shields do option. Shepard dies shot by shields who wanders into the beam blasts anderson and TIM. The catalyst freaks out because the created (marauder shields) is destroying the creators (reapers) faced with an logical paradox his head explodes, which kills all the reapers. Roll credits.

Replace Synthethis with Shepard looking at Spacechild and saying "I can't help you."

And maybe slap him around a little.
