So, I'm just finishing DA:O and because I use Alistari, Wynne, Dog (it killed flemeth, my whole party died, but not the dog...it killed her :D). So i don't have a rouge to lockpick stuff.

Now that I'm going to start the game again I want a group that will open most of the gameplay. Basically that means I have most of the talents and skills that causes the world to tick. Lockpicks, poisons, knowledge, survival etc. Because if you go around with 4 warriors...you'll miss alot. Also i want to keep the good stuff so i can give the best equipment to my whole party (and no lottery if Wynne get's the magical awesomeness or Morrigan get's it).

As I'm going to finish the game it doesn't have to be a easy second play. Also i would like to see both evil and good groups.

Good:  Alistair, Wynne, Leliana

Bad: morrigan, zevran...so who would give most gameplay and doesn't go all bananas when you whack a beggar in the head? Dog is always going to love you, so he's a safe bet, but...he doesn't really give too much gameplay. Sten isn't really evil....

best is a mix there is none of the characters that is actually evil, which is a good thing that for once it is not split up between chaotic evil and chaotic good or whatever.

Alistair is as evil as Morrigan... just in another way if you could put it like that, at least that is my opinion of everything, there is some morale stuff and whatever, and being super sweet to everything for sure is going to get you to lose respect from some of your characters because you would be rated as incredible dumb character wise in the RPG as it is.

Edit: PLaying a full *good* or *evil* group requires less talent for playing the game actually, also gameplay wise as it would be more smooth, play with direct opposites in your team and get them to reason with each other requires much more thinking of what words you would like to use rather than just... purge insanely murder something... or the opposite way of thinking as being ultra super duper good alligned.

Both Shale and Oghren work well with Morri and Zev. I tried Sten fr a bit but he disagrees with Morri on almost everything. Shae likes to see people die, and Oghy for the most part doesn't care.

I would also say that there really isn't an "evil" in the game. though in my opinion Alistaire is a lot more good than morrigan.

But my take on it is that morrigan is not evil at all. She is just practical. If you look at her dialogue there are hints at a much softer person than she comes off as.

However, throwing in Sten might help as far as a fighter who is not so religious. He has his own sense of right and wrong but I don't believe he will go nuts at some of the decisions you make (don't want to add spoilers).

edit: oh and as another post said, Shale and Oghren. I never use them as I have no desire to play with a golem and Oghren is just too disgusting for my taste ; )

Morrigan's practicality results in her absolute inability to comprehend that the party is, after all is said and done, a force for greater good (if you choose to play it that way). No, I'm not going to rescue kittens from trees - but that doesn't mean that I'll leave innocents to die if I'm asked to help them. I'm a Grey Warden after all. Plus, the more people are on our side, the better - and you won't win too many hearts and minds by turning down requests for help.

Likewise, Alistair can't comprehend that sometimes "you gotta do what you gotta do". I'm bloody broke, a horde of undead looms on the horizon and we have a good chance of getting overrun and dying as soon as the night falls; so NO, I'm not going to empty my pockets to pay for a sword that was given to me as a gift.

Yeah, I know there isn't so much evilness counter, but more morale choices, but I want a party that doesn't go all whiny when you decided that the payment was too little and you want to intimidate for more.

As i See, Morrigan isn't evil but she could care less about being good if that means loosing something (time, money etc).

Shale, well when you push people you usually need to grab the sword more often and thus means killing people. Shale doesn't object to that :)

Zevran, well he's a professional assasin, so killing goes and well one always needs payment right.

Although I would't like to have shale, because he lacks so much inventory slots that it takes away some of the fun. His dialogue on the other hand is hilarious so...

So:

Morrigan, mage (ranged + healing)

Zevran, rouge (ranged, picklocks etc)

Myself: warrior (dps, this i thin i'll go for DW)

but that just leaves the tank. Oghren could be one, but annoyingly he's a warrior with 2H skills, and thus no shield skills unless you want to "loose" the skills he already has. Otherwise he's pretty much okay with bad morals.

Alistair would also be ok, because he has shield skills and is a templar, but he would whine...oh he would whine.

Dog, well he would be a good tank (although getting the attention of the enemy into him...is a tad bit annoying some times).

Sten...well... 2H again, but...as I would see, it's more like a choice between Sten or Oghren.

Ideas?
