It's really charming how all the anti-ending chatters leaped to arms and started mocking him once it started sinking in that he wasn't going to validate their position by jumping on the "yeah, that ending sucked!" bandwagon and now they're laboring like crazy on the capslock to cram their views down his throat.

Just let the guy enjoy this for what it is: the conclusion to a long and exhaustive story that he's been telling through his character since the beginning...y'know, like it's a trilogy or something. Crazy thought.

I'm really happy for him that he liked the ending, even though I absolutely hate it. I wish it was me.
He got lucky that it fit the character he was roleplaying though. He seems like a pretty nice guy that really gets into the game. The no death thing makes it a little too slow for me to watch though, but I think I might like be the one playing like that.

I don't see how the Indoctrination Theory makes the ending better. The galaxy is still screwed (unless everything including relays blowing up is a dream, which would be even worse), so your choices didn't matter. And there is no closure, no epilogue explaining what happened to your companions etc.

But I'm glad he had fun.

Yes, props to him for finishing it hardcore and if he likes the ending more power to him. It *did* fit the character he was playing, so it makes sense that he'd be less jarred by it (or not at all). Still he said many times that he was working on processing it and that's understandable it was an intense expereince. I went all googley-eyed though when he said that to see the other endings he would start with another character from Mass Effect 1.

This theory is all nice and rosie but the one thing that totally debunks it is that unless you are into the multiplayer aspect of the game the last two and a half minutes don't even happen. If this theory was true then the last two and a half minutes would have shown regardless how you played the game and chose destroy.

Hey Luzarius! I stumbled across this thread just before you began the 'protect the missile launcher' sequence. It was very intense watching you play, especially because you going hardcore. You had an excellent rapport with your chatters, and I'm impressed with your ability to process all those chats while playing the game. Well done.

Regarding your reactions during the ending it was clear you were pretty hyped & wired & as I said earlier you needed time to process it. If you finally end up liking it, more power to you. Although would you really go back to ME1 to see a different ending of ME3? Man...
