I'm not sure where to post this, or whether or not this will be passed along to the dev team, but I would hope that somehow it does.
With all the negativity being generated on the forums and hearing about staff reactions in Ray Muzyka's response, I would like to share some quick positive words because I feel many have forgotten that you are all individual human beings who poured your hearts and souls into this singular vision.
I've been a gamer for roughly 25 years and no series has affected me as emotionally as Mass Effect, nor have I played a game that has been as incredible, exhilarating, and inspiring as Mass Effect 3. To call myself emotionally invested in the trilogy would be an understatement.
For this, I thank you.
I thank you for the effort all of you made in conceiving the series, for crafting these experiences, for sustaining them over the course of an entire trilogy, and for sharing them with all of us. For me, you have defined a generation of gaming.
All of you - including community managers, forum moderators, and any involved in the production of Mass Effect - should be proud of all that you have accomplished. Despite the grievances being aired over the forums since the game's release, it only serves to demonstrate the impact of this series and the emotional connections that so many have made. Don't despair, don't give up, and stay true to who you are.
I hope that the Mass Effect universe lives on into future iterations beyond the story of Shepard, even if the form may become something new and unfamiliar. I look forward to your future endeavors.
To those at odds with my sentiments, please refrain from posting as I want this thread to remain positive; there are other threads where grievances can be aired separately.
