ETA:
You have an L3 chip in ME1 and an L5 in ME2 and ME3, don't you?Red Dust wrote...

Shepard is probably a little more powerful than Miranda and co, but less powerful than Jack or Samara. I don't think he'd of been capable of holding the barrier in the collector base.

Jack would be higher than Kaidan in my book.
Samara being one of the most powerful biotic of the galaxy.
Shep is actually one of the weakest biotic among the crew.

As curious as I've been to play a biotic Shepard...I just can't come up with a way to justify having biotic powers without implants or something. Is it ever explained how Shep can have them without any of what you listed?
Again, I have never played a biotic, so I don't know the histroy of Shep as a biotic vs a regular soldier.

And Jack has had all sorts of junk done to her.
Kaidan is an L2, who can spike higher than most L3's, with the exception of Shep, meaning that Shep is a very powerful L3
But then again thats only if Shep is a biotic at all

Then comes Liara. Then Jack, then Miranda. Then Shepard.

Thats just cinematics, its probably not worth the effort to make two different scenes depending on whether or not Shepard is biotic. Only three classes are biotic but I admit they are probably in the top 5 of played classes.Skyblade012 wrote...

He does have implants...and it's hinted that you get even stronger implants in ME2. Kaidan clearly says you have L3 implants in ME1 and not L2's because they mess with your brain.GBGriffin wrote...

Where does it say that Shep is an L3? Is that mentioned somewhere in one of the 3 campaigns if you choose biotic?

Okay....again, never having played one in ME1, I honestly had no idea. Thanks for clearing this up!

When talking to Kaidan in ME1, he says that his powers spike higher than most L3's, with the exception of the Commander, implying that Shep has an L3 implant.

In ME1.Chakwas mentions it when you ask about Alenko iirc.

IIRC, Kaidan mentions it in Mass Effect 1 when you are talking about his headaches.

Like in the Ardat-Yakshi monastery when Samara goes flying/floating off to chase her daughter I kept yelling at the screen, "FOLLOW HER! YOU CAN DO THAT TOO. F***ING FOLLOW HER!"

In ME1, almost all Alliance biotics are L3s as I understand it.

Considering that I actively try to avoid Kaidan until I blow him up, I probably missed this regardless of whether or not its mentioned in other playthroughs

This. I laughed hysterically when I saw that.
