Would you rather a "Free" DLC, or a "Quality" one?

As we all know, DLC takes time and resources to produce.  You have to pay artists, writers, and voice actors afterall.  These talented people aren't going to work long hours for free.  Given the endings lacking explanation and choice, I find it shocking that many fans are crying for a free DLC, when this means there would be no profit for Bioware.

Ideally, sure, it'd be nice to have free endings, but logistically, there's no reason this should be the case, if we want *quality* endings.  Wouldn't you rather them take their time and be paid to create something truly amazing, as opposed to releasing something half-assed because fans are screaming for "free" content?

I will counter that I paid 60 dollars, others 90 (CE) for a complete product. BioWare employees made statements that have been proven and found to be inaccurate or lies that created an expectation that was not met. This is actually false advertising and illegal once they comment in the public domain on a product.

Therefor it is allowing me to receive what I purchased in the beginning.

If by 'complete' you mean 'good,' 'high quality,' 'without plot-holes,' and 'justified in the ME universe', then complete it is, no contest.

it should be free

hell i paid for the game. the ending is supposed to be included in the game. what we have makes no sense

if they release a DLC ending and charge us for it, its just going to ****** more people off. myself included

its kind of like making people pay extra for something thats already on the disc

I would pay 100$ for an ending DLC. But only if I got to go to Bioware's office and yell at them as they programmed it.

its like taking a pizza back after eating all but 1 slice and demanding another with a different topping because it wasn't what they said it was, I'm happy to pay them as i support the fact bioware will have to work hard on a alternate ending.

I'm on the fence on this honestly. I know it takes them some resources to do this. But at the same time we spent a lot of money already on not just this game. But all the other games and possible dlc. So one half is going "MAKE IT FREE!" the other is going "well...no more then ten dollars please..."

I would like it to be a free expansion DLC. They should make it as good as one that you would pay $20 for as well. Otherwise, I would rather not have a cheap DLC just because it is free.

Complete, no doubt. I think I'd pay up to $30 for a complete ending actually... And that's on top of my N7 ed

If being willing to pay for it makes it happen, I will pay twice.

I would happily pay 30 dollars for a 10-15 hour expansion with a new ending and an extended story.
For a few hours of content I would begrudgingly pay 10

I paid 90, as well. Originally, I didn't want to pay any more, as you stated. However, seeing that Bioware didn't have any other endings planned, and felt this ending was suitable, I feel it's unfair to assume that they'd be able to create brand new, quality endings from scratch without being paid for their long hours.

It's less a matter of "getting what we were promised" and more an issue of "quality vs price"

exactly...if 15 bucks decides whether or not i get a fulfilling ending, and retroactively a new fire to replay the entire trilogy than it is worth it.

If possible I would make bioware give it for free though...and have it be awesome.

Christ, I paid $60 for Final Fantasy XIII, I can pay another $10 to complete what is imo the greatest game of all time(with alternate endings).

We're not getting free DLC so it is a moot point. I would rather have a complete DLC like an expansion pack than some half-hearted DLC like the Arrival.

If they want my money for From Ashes, whatever they call the Omega DLC, or anything else, they will provide the ending that they advertised without additional charge. That is my line, and I have been very up front about it.

Judging from the few official responses we've had, Bioware wasn't prepared for such an outcry about the ending. Given that fact it's unreasonable to expect them to make a free DLC of the quality that we want. If it's addresses all the problems we have + a few more extras, I'd pay whatever they asked, really.

I would prefer they did a complete + paid package over a half-ass + free package.

No, it's like paying somebody to replace your tires, but they forgot to reinstall any of the lug nuts on one of the wheels. Didn't quite finish what they promised, with a disastrous effect.
