I would pay for a complete ending. I feel like they did this on purpose, but I know this trick will NEVER work again so I'm gonna let it slide.

Here is how I stand with it all.

I bought the CE edition and I got all the extra goodies. I deserve no extra special treatment after that. I am like everyone else except i got a robot dog.

If they try to pull a fast one and give us another lame ending then no I will not pay for it.

If they give me a sub par ending that sort of helps but still doesn't leave me happy I will maybe throw them a dollar.

If they somehow fix this broken story that when it hits the end it seems they just start headbutting the keyboard and due to that forgot that they promised that my choices matter and leave me with a smile on my face. Ill gladly pay for their time and effort.

I will not however pay the same price I would for a big titled DLC. They are out of their minds if they feel they deserve to be treated like kings. They may fix but if they do its only the first plank of the bridge they need to repair with me and thousands of others.

If by 'complete' you mean 'good,' 'high quality,' 'without plot-holes,' and 'justified in the ME universe', then complete it is, no contest.

Agreed.

Good RPGs are getting harder and harder to find.  I'm perfectly willing to pay for them when they show up.

If being willing to pay for it makes it happen, I will pay twice.

If more people were willing to pay for it, would give them more of a reason to make it happen.

Complete, no doubt. I think I'd pay up to $30 for a complete ending actually... And that's on top of my N7 ed

don't you think that's a little pricey....thats the price of half the game for an ending. If they're gonna do it, it better not be more than 15 or so because it doesn't make any sense for you to have to pay half the games price for whatever 10 minutes or so it adds on to each playthrough...this is unless somehow they make it so each ending has an hour of highly differing content  (more differences than red/green/blue) than maybe.

Quality. But no more than 10 or 15 dollars.

Corporations gain profits when they sell a product to customers. They can use some of these profits to fix their game...or they could try to gouge an already dissatisfied customer populace for MORE money. Which do you think would gain them more long-term customer loyalty?

Sorry, but if they try to charge me for something I already paid for (an actual ending to the product), that they said we'd have (many diverse endings), I would not only NOT buy it and support this "GOTCHA!", but I'd have to walk away from this company entirely and not support them by purchasing anything else from them.

I am HOPING that Bioware does, as they say, care about the customers. For now, I'll believe that Bioware will do the right thing, and believe them when they say they care about their customers.

Thank you, Bioware, for extending the first olive branch and giving me actual hope for a better ending that fits the story.

I'd pay for a quality, 16 legitimately different endings DLC. Heck I might even pay expansion price for it if they get it how they promised it would be.

Yeah.  I mean, I understand the people who want it to be free, but I'd rather have an ending that actually gets FIXED as opposed to whatever cheap bandaid they can afford to slap onto it.

If the ending finishes the series on an epic note

Like this:

If it is an ending that they had made before releasing the game (based around indoctrination) then it should be free.

If it is an ending that they are making based on our outcry, then it will take them a while to make it high quality and I honestly wont even be interested in it by that point.

It would mean that they really did expect fans to accept that plot hole riddled ending as fact, and that would mean they lost me as a customer.

When people call gamers "self entitled," demanding a new ending for free is the sort of thing they are talking about. It's not going to be free. No matter how much caterwauling. The ending was bad but it doesn't rise to the level of being a broken product. ET on the atari was a broken product. Arguably Skyrim on the PS3 was a broken product.

I like DLC with quality; I'd be more than happy to pay for a good quality endgame-changing DLC.

I would much prefer to pay good money for a well-produced, fulfilling ending (see: up to the same writing/cinematic standards as say, the Tuchanka or Rannoch missions) than run the risk of being further disappointed by a free slap-on fix.

However, if we end up paying and STILL receive a quick slap-on fix, I will become greatly disenfranchised with Bioware going forward.

Quality. I don't care about the money. I probably should on principle, but I don't. I would pay $50 for a quality ending if it added a few hours to the game.

not saying I agree with her, but she's saying they didn't give you a finished product. That's like saying that when you take back a sword to a blacksmith because there is no hilt on it you are making him a slave by having him complete the job he said he'd do.

DLC is overpriced. It's not as expensive to make as people think.

DLC is usually small, and only requires a small team (maybe six or so) to make it for a short period of time.

I doubt the work of a tiny team of employees will cost Bioware a fortune to make.

Mark Meer/Jennifer Hale are already contracted for DLC so they may or may not already have been compensated for future projects regardless of the content.

It'll really comes done to what Bioware wants to produce, and whether they want to nickel and dime the fans.

All we really need are sixteen scenes to be added to the game as we were told they would be. That's not even a DLC.

A couple of cutscenes. That's honestly all that's needed to remedy this.

As a software developer by trade, I always refer to the 'triangle'. There's three points on it. 'Good', 'Fast', and 'Cheap'. You only get to pick two of them.
