I'll pay whatever it takes for the quality I want.

I'd be willing to pay for the DLC so long as it was good quality, even though I can see the argument for why it should be free.

its like taking a pizza back after eating all but 1 slice and demanding another with a different topping because it wasn't what they said it was, I'm happy to pay them as i support the fact bioware will have to work hard on a alternate ending.

No, it's like paying somebody to replace your tires, but they forgot to reinstall any of the lug nuts on one of the wheels. Didn't quite finish what they promised, with a disastrous effect.

yeah after posting that i relized how many counter arguments there are to that, 4am here little slack plz <3

I kinda agree we shouldn't have to pay for something that shoulv'e been done right the first time but companies will only make DLC if there is a profit to be gained.

Corporations gain profits when they sell a product to customers. They can use some of these profits to fix their game...or they could try to gouge an already dissatisfied customer populace for MORE money. Which do you think would gain them more long-term customer loyalty?

Sorry, but if they try to charge me for something I already paid for (an actual ending to the product), that they said we'd have (many diverse endings), I would not only NOT buy it and support this "GOTCHA!", but I'd have to walk away from this company entirely and not support them by purchasing anything else from them.

I am HOPING that Bioware does, as they say, care about the customers. For now, I'll believe that Bioware will do the right thing, and believe them when they say they care about their customers.

Thank you, Bioware, for extending the first olive branch and giving me actual hope for a better ending that fits the story.

Completely agreeing with this statement. It's exactly how I feel. Bioware can't claim to have integrity as 'high artists', when not only do they refuse to take anything but softly worded conscrutive critism, but flat out lie about their product.

Call the ending what it was, a mistake. An honest one, I'm hoping, and like any business when you make an honest mistake, or at worst lie and use false advertising as others are rightfully alledging, then you make reprimands to the upset customers.

Try to gouge those same previously-loyal and now upset customers, and you may earn a quick buck, but you'll only lose in the long run. We're not asking for slave labor, or an entirely new game. We just want what was promised.

They really need to make this right because they promised certain specific things in this product and they did not deliver. At my work, if I promised something to a customer for a specific price, and delivered something inferior, I would have to either make it right or start looking for employment elsewhere. I can't tell you the number of times I've given discounts, or done labor for free in the name of "Customer Satisfaction."

I'd pay for quality, so far Bioware's record to me is 99.9999999% quality over the course of all their games... just so happens the last tiny percent was NOT quality...nobody's perfect i guess

Quality. Absolutely quality. I don't care if I have to pay for it, it should be Shadow Broker-quality DLC.

The words are not Mutually exclusive. I'd like to take the time to draw attention to Dragon Age New Copy DLC (shale at the very least was quality DLC and free) Furthermore lets draw attention to the long line of questionable paid DLC in both Dragon Age Games, as well as ME 2.

On the note of the ME series infact the best DLC to date released for any of the games Was Infact BDTS which was a Free Release Incomparrison to the ****** Poor Pinnacle Station released at the cost of 5 dollars.

Thus far we've been relatively ripped off for lack luster "DLC" (for example being charged 10-30 bucks extra for Javik a character who feels built into the game and may have evidence to suggest he was Before The Game went gold) when BDTS has on average offered more Play time than kasumi, and operation overlord. Possibly the same amount as LoTSB. This alone should prove that "Free" and "Quality" are not mutually exclusive terms.

We are entitled to any story revision of the Game that alters the endings in my honest opinion. It would be unethical to charge us for a revised ending DLC.

It can be both free and quality. Obviously, my wallet wants it to be free. But even if it's not, I'll still get it. I want BioWare to feel that they can continue the series. I definitely don't want Mass Effect to end here.

But, if they came along and said, "We can give you a crappy DLC for free, or a great DLC for a price," I'd definitely choose to pay for it. I'll be a bit disgruntled for being given such an ultimatum, but I'd pay nonetheless. :D

Quality, obviously. And I'm more than willing to pay for it, regardless of price. I honestly believe that they just didn't see this coming. It's disappointing that they could make a mistake like this, but I'm willing to forgive. I know we're asking for a lot, so I'm willing to chip in.

Bottom line: I don't want to be told no or to get something that was cheaply done because it would cost too much.

I would pay 100$ for an ending DLC. But only if I got to go to Bioware's office and yell at them as they programmed it.

I'd pay that. I'd pay $150 to do that and scream at them when they tried to do something stupid

I would pay for quality DLC, no question there. But I'd do this for the mass effect universe specifically. This wouldn't be a wise trend for other games to pick up.

If that was the only choice, I would obviously choose quality. However I would have a hard time justifying the purchase if the DLC was planned before hand. IN such a case, the content should have been in the game. If it is simply bioware offering more content to help fix what many people believe needs to be fixed, I will gladly pay for it.

I would actually prefer to pay for a long, quality ending.

I say this because I'd prefer the Bioware employees feeling that they were getting paid for their work, as opposed to slapping something together just because the fans disapprove.

I don't want to pay for it at all. However, I will pay for the QUALITY ending I was promised originally.

Holding the line for as long as it takes.

I would have no problem paying.....just so long as:

Shepard wakes up. We kick Harbingers ass with our squadmates to determine the fate of the galaxy....and the fate of every individual squadmate, species, homeworld, and love interest are decided by your choices throughout the game/series...

Do this Bioware, and my heart is yours....as well as my wallet

Then again, this was kinda the status quo after ME2, right? What derailed you from this?

I am willing to wait for a quality ending.... pay for it I am not sure about, but we will need some clarification on what exactly Bioware will put out for us and call a "quality ending".

Oh, yeah. Don't get me wrong. I'm happy with the Mass Effect 3 package overall. I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon, so I could get a full refund if I wanted it. But I don't, because I was happy with the game overall. My point is that there's a reason that Amazon decided to refund ME3 purchases, and that's because a product with certain specific features was promised, and those promises were not delivered. In the retail business, customer satisfaction is the name of the game, so Amazon really had to offer refunds. So, in my opinion, BioWare should step up to the plate and either offer to buy back any copies of ME3 that were purchased from any retailer, or offer a free DLC or game update to include the features that they promised.

However, I recognize that it will probably never happen that way, and the situation probably actually does come down to either getting a good fix or a free fix. Between those two, I would rather have a fix that had all of the necessary time and resources devoted to it, at whatever cost they deem necessary.

The people who will be making this content deserve to be paid for it. The graphic artists, the voice actors, the programmers, the testers, these people did nothing but make great content for us. Yeah, the ending sucked, but why should someone who handles lighting design not get paid for their work? I paid for Broken Steel, I will pay for this.

If by 'complete' you mean 'good,' 'high quality,' 'without plot-holes,' and 'justified in the ME universe', then complete it is, no contest.

^This.  I'm more than willing to pay for a good quality, complete dlc that fixes the many issues that have been brought up with the endings (and also provides additional ending options).  I realize that it takes money to pay the teams, artists, and VO actors, along with the fees to place said dlc on xbox live.  However, with all that being said, if said dlc is released, I'll be waiting for user reviews (not critic reviews) before purchasing.  DA2 and the ME3 ending have me putting the brakes on any Bioware purchases for the time being.
