Would you rather a "Free" DLC, or a "Quality" one?

IF they make an edited version of an ending for ME3, it sure as hell wont be free or soon.

I will counter that I paid 60 dollars, others 90 (CE) for a complete product. BioWare employees made statements that have been proven and found to be inaccurate or lies that created an expectation that was not met. This is actually false advertising and illegal once they comment in the public domain on a product.
Therefor it is allowing me to receive what I purchased in the beginning.

If by DLC you mean, an actual ending to the game, then no, we already paid for it.

In gigolo terms, I'd pay real money to get with a movie star, at the ritz, with a full orchestra and choir singing Mendel's Hallelujah watching me, and the heaven's parted and angels were watching over me as I did it, rather than getting a reach around from a 90 year old toothless grandma in the backshed next to a garbage dump.
Take from it what you will...
nothin beats experience. 90 year old grandma?? thats like quadruple xp
shed and the garbage dump?? dude....its free

But for what it's worth, I'd like quality. And yes, I'd even pay a reasonable amount of extra money for it. Not happy about it but there we go. We all have to make sacrifices, I guess.
The DLC better be real good though, IF they do it.

If by 'complete' you mean 'good,' 'high quality,' 'without plot-holes,' and 'justified in the ME universe', then complete it is, no contest.
This, always.
It rankles just a little bit that we'll probably have to pay extra to get what we were promised, but I don't give a damn if the alternative is a hackjob solution.

People, do NOT give them any more money until they have delivered EXACTLY what they promised.
You are simply stating that it is just fine to lie and provide something crap and then charge more for fixing it.
Do that, and there will be no end for these "Sorry our 'artistic' vision was not to your liking. Would you like to pay more for proper ending"-schemes.
As for "work for free". Bulls**t. Bioware and EA can afford easily to take this hit in THEIR wallet. Consumer should NEVER pay for mistakes made by corporation.
This is like banking crisis again! Banks f**k up, take insane risks and then expect that others to pay the bill! "Profits are ours, risks and costs are yours".
F**k no.

I would like it to be a free expansion DLC. They should make it as good as one that you would pay $20 for as well. Otherwise, I would rather not have a cheap DLC just because it is free.
"Spend lots of money on it, but make it free."
Many people seem to be failing to grasp this dichotomy.
Many people seem to be failing to grasp that we have the power to force them to take it as necessary cost for maintaining business.
If they are faced with two options...
1) Make good, free ending DLC, lose some profits temporarily.
2) Lost customers, lose sales. Go bust.
What do you think they choose?

Exactly. This. It may cost them significantly to make a quality free DLC and by rights they should since we got that crappy ending. Because everyone openly states that they would pay for the ending, they might change their tune and decide to charge for what they originally planned to be free.

Do not confuse worker who does the work with company. Company will pay salaries for workers, even if end product is given up for free. There is no "we give this DLC for free, so your salaries are not paid"-option in contracts.
Stop trying to "humanize" Bioware. It is corporation, not person.
Starting to worry about Bioware making less profit this year if they fix their mistake for free is not healthy for you.
You should worry about YOUR wallet and how it will suffer if Bioware is let off the hook and rewarded for it. Same thing as it is with dogs. Reward bad behavior, and they will learn to do so.

Corporations gain profits from the sales of their products. Profits are the monetary surplus left after deducting all that has gone into producing the product (wages, production costs, etc.). This is where the money to make the corrections to their mistakes should come from, not the consumer.
Talented people deserve to get paid. I just think the consumer has already paid for a product and we shouldn't have to pay for it again to get what was promised in the original product. Let Bioware take it out of their profits and make it up to the customers that way.

I spent $100 on the game already, (because **** Norway that's why). But I'd still be happy to pay for an ending DLC that was good, I understand that making a good one will take time that has to be paied, and voice actors, etc, and I never expected for them to make it for free, that's just unrealistic. So yeah $10-20 and I am in.
It is NOT unrealistic for them to correct their error at no charge to their customers. They have PROFITS which they gained from selling many copies of the game which they can use to fix the problem with the ending. A DLC can be made while voice actors and etc can get paid AND the customers get the product they paid for already.
It simply baffles me that so many are willing to pay for something out of their own pocket to fix a problem with the ending that the corporation made. It's not like we messed it up so we're paying for it in apology. They need to fix their problem with their own funds. It's a corporation. They have funds.

They may choose to produce a short fix for a moderate sum. That I wouldn´t buy, and would continue to not ever buy anything they chuck out unless reported as absolutely flawless. Why? I don´t pay for a new car, see the wheels fall off, then go pay for some new ones.
I would pay a moderate sum - 10 bucks - for a massive 5 hour DLC with multiple different endings and all the characters - and player decisions - playing some discernable part. I would understand that as having to compromise regarding my consumer rights, and watch EA´s further releases with caution.
I would FULLY expect a massive company such as EA to actually invest their money into PR rather than their time into BS: promise a new ending, and chuck out a well-thought out free 3 hours of an alternative ending. It would boost their positions and I would speculate it could pay off with extra ME3 and other DLC sales. It could also save the Bioware brand, which is by all standards done for now, having recently produced nothing but the disappointments of DAII, SWTOR and ME3.
