Would you rather a "Free" DLC, or a "Quality" one?

In addition; a free quality DLC could provide more long term finance through retaining more customers for future releases.

I'll be very happy and proud of them if they fix the endings at all. Going back to change one's work is difficult and draining, but it will show they truly care about their fanbase. If it means paying a good chunk of money for a good ending instead of getting some short text inserts before the credit roll for free, I will gladly do so. I do not expect them to work for free.

Complete, no doubt. I think I'd pay up to $30 for a complete ending actually... And that's on top of my N7 ed

Money is not an issue when it comes to this.

If I have to pay for new endings, I will. Gladly. After all it's not like BioWare crew sat down one late Thursday afternoon and decided to screw us over or anything. They simply failed to deliver what we wanted. That's not morally bad on their part, so I don't see why I'm entitled to a "fix" for free.
They screw up, they have to answer for it. They are not entitled to my money either if they provided product which did not meet their advertised claims.

Cry me a river. They screw up, they pay the price. That's how things work out in grownup world. Or do you get pat in the back and more money if you screw up at work?
Honestly people... How in hell you see it as "working for free" when they fix their own failure? Bioware CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR EXPENSES OF FREE DLC!
Why you people see bank account of corporation to be so sancrosant that it cannot be slightly drained to make up for their own failure? Why it must be your wallet which is abused to fix the game into condition where it should have been straight from beginning?

Do they want to keep my $50, or not?
That's how simple that is.
But is it that simple ?
Just out of curiosity : do you think your 50 bucks will hurt them more than not experiencing the new ending will "hurt" you ?

If we all take our 50 bucks and tell them to stuff it, it damn sure hurts them more. Problem are people who are willing to become cashcows for corporations. If everyone unanimously, or nearly, told BW that they accept nothing short of free ending DLC or BW is in total boycott...
They WOULD cave in. They would learn lesson of not ignoring the fans. They would learn not to make promises they do not keep.
If you give in, they learn that they can do whatever they want and you keep pouring money into their pockets.
Which approach you think would motivate them to improve quality of their products?

They did not release a faulty product, they released a product that didn't satisfy you. There is a huge difference. Yes, a carpenter will have to fix your chair if they forgot to attach the fourth leg, but there's not much you can do if you found it simply didn't match your walls when you took it home. They will not repaint it for you for free.Tregon wrote...

Because I know the vast majority of money does not go to sit in a bank vault somewhere, it pays salaries. I don't want anyone laid off. I don't want anyone to be forced to put in overtime for no compensation. And I definitely don't want their next game's budget to be lacking in that they used some of the money for DA3 or some other game to fix the ending.Tregon wrote...

I'll be grateful I even got a new ending. Have you -ever- heard of a developer going back to the ending of their games before, no matter how dissatisfied people were? The only time I can recall at all - and it's a slightly different situation - is Fallout 3. Out of the millions of games out there, it's happened once. BioWare may very well be the second company to ever do their fans that same service. And you're complaining?
I'll vote with my wallet and buy a new ending day1, that's for sure.
