Quality DLC. I don't want some half assed free attempt.

Which approach you think would motivate them to improve quality of their products?

You honestly think they want to repeat the ME3 ending drama again? That is not in their economical best interest, for sure. We only want to pay this once because it was a single-time screw up. Of course they can't systemise this and expect people to follow, they're too smart to know that.

For all the whine about EA, they know how to make money. And they know bad press is horribly bad for sales in the long run.

I'd rather have a quality product and pay for it than a free one that is just text with music. (Or something in that ballpark)

I would much rather pay for a DLC ending than get a free one which is little more than text or a simple cutscene. If they charge for a DLC but go the whole way, like getting in voice actors, properly done cutscenes and so forth, I'd be willing to pay for it.

Quality, and I'm willing to wait several months to get it, if that's what it takes.

Judging from the few official responses we've had, Bioware wasn't prepared for such an outcry about the ending. Given that fact it's unreasonable to expect them to make a free DLC of the quality that we want. If it's addresses all the problems we have + a few more extras, I'd pay whatever they asked, really.

I would prefer they did a complete + paid package over a half-ass + free package.

If we all take our 50 bucks and tell them to stuff it, it damn sure hurts them more. Problem are people who are willing to become cashcows for corporations. If everyone unanimously, or nearly, told BW that they accept nothing short of free ending DLC or BW is in total boycott...

They WOULD cave in. They would learn lesson of not ignoring the fans. They would learn not to make promises they do not keep.

If you give in, they learn that they can do whatever they want and you keep pouring money into their pockets.

Well, it seems we don't want the same thing then. I just want an improved ME3 ending . I don't want to hurt or boycott or teach a lesson or whatever....It's not about telling bioware what my money is worth, it's just about what Mass Effect is worth to me. And I know i'd definitly prefer to pay for a great dlc than selling my game  and say "that will teach them !!" if it's not free. I don't want my money back, I just want my mass effect.

Quality, Quality and Quality.....so Ill pay, no doubt about it. For you who wants it free, why don't you imagine yourself a new ending....its free and requires no work other then some imagination.

I am desperate enough to get an actual ending that I would pay pretty much any sum for it. But it would seriously damage my faith in BW and I would surely be extremely cautious about buying their games in the future (if I buy any).

I have no problem paying for it if more gameplay is added, i'm not going to pay for a short epilogue or cut scene. If they want to charge for it then they really need to do a Broken Steel type DLC.

Quality. AND free. Neither of these points is negotiable. And anyone willing to pay for a proper ending (by which I do not necessarily mean a happy one -- just one that isn't completely out of character and actually lives up to the promises made before launch) is part of the problem. If we start letting game companies get away with making half-assed free endings and paying extra for the "real" endings, then it's a slippery slope to games that charge you $100 for each three-hour chapter. Or worse.

I will counter that I paid 60 dollars, others 90 (CE) for a complete product. BioWare employees made statements that have been proven and found to be inaccurate or lies that created an expectation that was not met. This is actually false advertising and illegal once they comment in the public domain on a product.

Therefor it is allowing me to receive what I purchased in the beginning.

This. I keep saying this. It should be quality DLC that helps BioWare redeem their series, their business practices, and themselves. The players have paid. It's time BioWare delivered on what was advertised to the fans.

BOTH! With all the circumstances and broken promises, it should be BOTH. No compromise. Any other business that has a faulty product would have done something similar to regain their customer satisfaction.

Even if BW/EA has to dish out additional money to produce the content, they already got the money from pre-orders & first week sales. I have no sympathy that they may take a loss in their profit margin, but they should have done several peer or private reviews to check themselves b4 pushing out this abominable ending. Not to mention that the product delivered was not what I ordered.

As much as you may rant and rave about it, and as much as I agree with you, this is NEVER going to happen.

If you want a new, quality ending to the Mass Effect series, you will be paying for it. This is a fact predicated by EA's ownership of Bioware.

While Bioware may still truly care about its fans, EA has proven time and time again that they have one of the most myopic viewpoints regarding consumer loyalty in the business. The will not fix it for free, you will have to deal with this fact if you want Mass Effect to get the ending it desreved.

Quality. I won't be happy to pay since they have our money now, but I will all the same. Sunk costs are already in in the several hundreds of dollars (games, books, comics, posters etc...) an extra $10 that may mean the difference between the current ending and a prefered ending that properly ends the series doesn't seem like much of sacrifice.

I would pay for quality DLC relating to "alternate" endings, as opposed to a sh*tty, free "touch up" DLC for the three endings we have now.
