Someone who tears apart speeches/arguments/statements for a living, and what Ray was REALLY saying.

This community is beginning to get embarrassing, now. No offence, OP, but you come off as a poor man's version of the other PR guy, which you likely are. I didn't listen to the other guy, and I'm definitely not going to listen to you.

I've heard enough from the creator's themselves to make my own decision. Spreading negativity through poorly de-constructed blog posts will help nobody.

And now we move on to my personal favorite part of the post-release temper tantrum, wherein we carefully scrutinize every bioware statement for hidden messages.

Much more entertaining than empty threats of boycotts, I'll give you that.

To be fair it's not hidden at all...

Not if you're familiar BSN RAEG logic, it isn't.

Quick primer for the unititiated:

If bioware employee x says something you don't want to hear: "He just insulted us!"

If bioware employee x says something you do want to hear: "He's trying to trick us!"

You must be one of those people that thinks that anyone should be happy with anything they buy, no matter how crappy it is.

Because not believing the evil corporation is out to get you is clear proof you're a chump, right? <_<

Hey, it's fun and popular to villainize corporations!  Stop being reasonable!

I get the feeling someone higher up on the corporate food chain chew his a*s out in a meeting and told him to end this now!

If he is scared does that mean they will do more than add an epilogue to a bad ending and instead actually change it?

I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought the letter was more for the purpose of taking jabs at us.

I'm forced to agree with your analysis. The fear however is understandable. ME3 was supposed to be a sure thing blockbuster and now it is getting a lot of negative word of mouth. I would paraphrase the last two paragraphs as...

(to people who haven't played the game) it's not as bad as a few loud mouths are making it seem, so please buy the game. (and to those that don't like the ending) we are going to throw you some kind of bone so stop hurting our sales and saying mean things to us or we won't even do that...

I did not personaly find the statement very encouraging.

No clue at this point, he didn't give any information out to say otherwise.

Because someone has a different opinion than me!

On the internet!

Ahem. In all seriousness while it may be paranoid to pick apart every statement I think it is necessary. Corporations have this way of talking in corporate-speak. Needs to be translated.

Thank you Reptilian Rob. We as customers are fortunate to have people with your expertise to dissect these statements for us. Too many have interpreted this statement as an outright guarantee that a new ending is on the way, when in fact it is anything but. I hope you continue to analyze any future statements and post your thoughts, it's very useful and very insightful.

It's amazing how hostile and defensive the community is getting against people that are not happy with the ending. They are treating this issue like Bioware is their god, and anything Bioware says or does is absolutely infallible. Disagreeing with them is heresy!

Get the hell over it. If you want to disagree, that's fine, but can we discuss this like civilized people instead of ignorant morons? And this applies to both sides of the argument, but it's the 'pro-ender' crowd that is inciting for the most part, isn't it?

The simple fact is that we're all fans of Bioware. If we weren't, we wouldn't be upset about this yet care enough to ask Bioware to fix it. If we lost all faith in Bioware, we wouldn't be here posting. We'd have sold/returned our copies and moved on. To be frank with you, I think more and more people are doing this by the day. By the time this ****storm is over, this forum is going to be a lot more quiet.

Such a typical argument. Only people who have no life would care this much about a videogame. A bigger example of this fact would be how everyone wants happy endings with their videogame waifus. It's getting incredibly sad in here now.

OP see digs, I see a guy defending his people. I want a boss who got my back. Not a boss who tells costumers I was wrong. (not saying that was right, just empathizing)

but I appreciate your breakdown nonetheless Image IPB

Sorry, but I'm taking the word of Dr. Muzyka. He's given me many years of great entertainment, and told us they are fixing this game. You're just a guy trying to get people to notice him by drumming up controversy.

Meh, I don't buy it. At some point, the paranoia running rampant around here just got too thick. The guy is walking a fine line between admitting the fan's point and supporting his team, but I think he did it pretty well when all is said and done. It seems geniune enough for what it was.

Have to agree... it's getting a little crazy around here.
