The reason for the "artistic" argument is it's all they have.

As poor of an excuse as the artistic freedom stuff is, it's all they got.

They are trying extremely hard to change the subject.

We know what the real subject is.

False advertising

Bioware's own words promised us one thing and we got the opposite.

Notice all of these artistic defenders will NOT respond to the false advertising.  Why?  They can't.  Bioware nor the defenders have any ground to stand on.  So, they are trying to change the topic.

What they apparently don't realize is artistic freedom does not FREE them from a contract or an agreement of purchase.

Bioware without a doubt promised us our 16 endings and all of that jazz.  And then gave us the opposite.

We didn't get what we paid for.

Doesn't matter if it's art or not.

Example
Artist advertising he has a painting of a tree, says it's the best tree painting ever, we go to the store, we ask specifics about the tree and the artist gives us the promised features of the tree.  So, we pay our money to the artist and he hands us a box.  We get home and open the box and it's a painting of a frog.  It doesn't matter how great of a frog it is, it's NOT what we paid for.  The artist does NOT have the right to lie to us like that.

This is the real issue and always will be the real issue.  Just keep reminding the artist excuse people of this example.  Realize most people are smart enough to see how the consumers were wronged.

Hold the line by not letting them blur the line like they are trying to do.
