 I found the kakliosar fossil but when I go to give it to the Salarian war strategist he is frozen. I cannot talk to him. The same thing happened with the reaper code fragment and the asari war strategist but by reloading the problem went away. That is not happening this time.

Okay this is getting weirder. After more than 40 hours of pretty much bug-free play I have another bug now. When I am on the main menu and I choose resume, I am no longer taken to my most recent save. Far from it. I am taken to the cut-scene in the med bay right after Kaidan is injured on Mars. Also Shepard does not move his lips during his dialogue until he goes upstairs to talk to Hacket and the red circles you get outside of cut scenes to select things (like stores, characters, etc) are present for some reason.

So the second problem has now gone away but the issue with the Salarian war strategist persists. I tried repairing the install through Origin but that did not help.
