I apologize if there is already a similar thread, but I didn't find one.

I'm curious as to which crew members people included in their "main" party.

I always had Kasumi and Jack go with me in ME2, but with both of them off on Crucible duties I found myself never being able to settle on a dependable primary party in ME3.  I'm hoping that perhaps I can get some ideas for my next run, which will be on Insanity.  I play a Sentinel, so I don't find it quite as easy as simply picking crew members with strengths where I'm weak because the class is so versatile.

for me (playing an infiltrator) i usually brought Liara (her stasis is practically unfair) and rotated the 3rd spot depending on need, usually James or ashley but sometimes Tali or Garrus, if i'm fighting shielded guys. Never really used Javik or EDI

I kind of pick 2 and stick with them no matter what. I really don't swap for situations. So I do it more for story. If I do multiple runs, then I like to change it up each run to see the different responses I get.

Really any group can work imo.

Garrus and Kaidan/Liara.

Vega and Javik/Kaiden.

Vega almost never dies, has incendiary ammo and carnage triggers flame explosions more than I expected.

Javik or Kaiden for the biotics. Give both of them Revenants and you can practically AFK.
