Hello,

I am very disappointed to find out that the Collectors Edition copy of ME3 I purchased is not being supported for ongoing multiplayer events like the past Operation Goliath event. After trying to contact Bioware's customer service through both the "Bioware game support" and "Email us" links on the bottom of these forum pages, both of which link to EA's customer service page, I asked 3 different reps for info on how I could contact Bioware customer service. All 3 told me to post on the Bioware forums. All I wanted to do was email a human being and have my issue heard, not post on a public forum for the public to "debate" my issue. But after waiting the 24 hour holding period, I can finally post my issue so here goes:

I purchased the collectors edition purposefully because I wanted the complete experience. Day 1 DLC, fine, I got that covered. In game sweater? I'm there. I'm in for the long haul, I'm excited to support a company I have been more than happy to support for over a decade.

Finding out that the XBOX360 and PC versions of the game are being supported with community events that I as a PS3 owner cannot participate in is really frustrating. I am being left out. One of the consoles that you have released your game onto is not being included in community events. I am certain that you already understand that this is not okay.

As a customer, I am angry because to me I have a copy of the same experience that everyone who purchased a copy of Mass Effect 3 received. It should not be the burden of the consumer to understand that the PS3 has a "technical limitation" that prevents inclusion into these community events. To me as the consumer, my PS3 does in its own way the same thing that the other systems do, and that there is no reason why as a PS3 user I should be expected to accept that I have a now inferior, incomplete version of the Mass Effect 3 experience because I am not playing it on 360 or PC.

I have a hard time entertaining the thought that Bioware did not know that PS3 would not be included in these multiplayer events prior to the game's initial release. Even understanding that the choice to purchase the game on another system would be weighed heavily against leaving my ME2 PS3 save data behind, that is a choice that I as a consumer should have been given to make. Now I am simply left feeling like my Mass Effect 3 multiplayer experience isn't what it could be because I happen to be playing the game on a PS3.

I want to enjoy the game, but this exclusion really drains the replay value when other systems are getting new content that I can't earn due to a choice I didn't get to make for myself.

The argument can be made that the game I purchased was a finished version and that any and all DLC and additional content created after release is at the sole discretion of Bioware, and you could have simply never made any additional DLC. The fact that I purchased the Collector's Edition does not automatically mean that Bioware owes me more content. That isn't my point. My point is that I bought what I and every other PS3 user thought was simply the PS3 version of the same Mass Effect 3 experience everyone else was purchasing, and that simply was not the case.

Can a Bioware representitive address this issue for us and say difinitively whether or not this issue is being fixed, or if PS3 will never be included in these events? What exactly is the problem, when was this problem made aware to Bioware, and what is your solution for PS3 owners?

I can even understand that to you as the developers the PS3, 360 and PC are 100% different beasts and that this issue bothers you guys the same way it bothers me, but I genuinely feel like I've been lied to by Bioware. I have the same game. I should get the same community support from Bioware.

Bump so Bioware can have the best chance at seeing this 6 day old topic.

We are already aware of this issue, but thank you for sharing your thoughts. We know it may seem unfair to you, but we do not intentionally want to exclude any of our gamers from our events. This does not somehow resolve or make easier to fix the technical issues involved in this matter. We have said before that we are looking into the matter and hopefully will be able to open up our events to ALL platforms in the future.
