First I would like to thank everyone who has participated in the making of this thread.

BioWare Developers : If you see this or happen to stumble across this thread. Please take your time to read some of
the suggestions listed below. We would love your comments or opinions on ANY of the points mentioned.

Would also like to personally thank BioWare for creating an awesome game and not to mention that I am thoroughly
impressed by the amount of fun multiplayer is. However! As fellow gamers you must understand the need for new
content. Here are some of the compiled ideas for future DLC/Updates.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of all the ideas mentioned in the thread. I have taken the liberty of
taking peoples ideas and summarizing it in my OP so that new comers won't have to read through the pages:

Addition of a Platinum & Diamond Difficulty level. - Players who have currently beaten gold have nothing to do
except see who can finish the fastest or farm for credits (Adding Platinum & Diamond does not mean make Bronze/Silver
/Gold harder)


Harder levels- Less Ammo/Longer Revives/More enemies (current max is 8 units, but this also brings up the issue
of lag) NOT +HP/Shields/Armor to enemy

Cerberus Engineers - Also carry a Portable Shield Generator (like the ones in SP but portable!)
(Platinum & Diamond difficulty only?)

Friendly-Fire - This has been suggested for Platinum & Diamond difficulties

Random 'Incursions' - We can have random events happen on Platinum & Diamond difficulties perhaps a random
wave of another faction/etc. to spice things up a bit :P

Mercenary Groups - Mercenary groups are probably the easiest to fit into the game lore wise. Eclipse/Blue Suns/
Blood Pack/Random (random: can be anything varying from space pirates to 'gangs' which may include drell and hanar
or even elcor and volus!) The point of not bunching them all into one 'merc' faction is so that it provides more variety!
Blood Packs are mainly Krogan, Vorcha and their Varren. Eclipse got their mech units along with salarian snipers etc..
Blue Suns, Engineers & Vanguards.. I'm sure BioWare can throw in more stuff to make each merc faction more intersting.

Yahg - Not much is known about these guys except for that brief encounter with the Shadow Broker. Except
that they are extremely hostile.. Bioware will have to fill in the blanks on this one :P

Council Armies - Fight council armies e.g. Turian/Salarian/Asari/Alliance/etc. Each race has their own unique
set of skills.

(Whether or not this is a good idea is up to you guys.. I can remove this if you want. But it's been mentioned so I added
it up here. I kinda feel like this could be better tied in with mercenary factions)

Possible Map Locations/Objectives/Mission Ideas/Game Modes :

Possible Map Locations :

I didn't actually see the point in starting this category but everyone keeps suggesting ideas. Every
location that took place in single player is a good location for a new map. Earth/Citadel/Palaven's
Moon/Rachni Tunnels/Thessia/Geth Dreadnought. So to keep things interesting let's name ones that
didn't take place in the actual game..or at least a unique environment that wasn't used or gone into
depth in the game.



Earth - Cities other then London/Vancouver. (This is a stretch as it might be more time consuming
to draw)

Space Ships/Space Stations - Alliance Dreadnought/Turian/Quarian/Asari/Etc. Give us a feel of the
architecture inside of a ship other then Normandy. Like that Quarian ship we boarded.. with natural
vegetation etc. Be awesome to explore this. A space station worth mentioning is the Grissom Academy
large open gardens with vegetation. Very surreal experience.

Tuchanka - I know.. I know this took place in the game. But Tuchanka more along the lines of the
ancient Krogan tunnels we got to walk through in ME3 for a brief minute. It can possibly even lead to
tunnels/caverns carved out my thresher maws!

Yahg - Homeworld? I've always imagined it to be like Ilos, with thick forests and vegetation. I dunno
if that's just me.

Turian/Asari - Planets... I would love to visit more planets and witness some of the architecture.. Get
a feel for what it is like to be on a Turian/Asari Planet. (We got to experience asari for a bit on Illium.
But i want more!)


Hazardous Environments - Highly acidic gas that eats at your armor the longer you stay in the
environment/the extremely hot sun (think it was ME2? where you had to fight geth.. avoiding the sun)

Vacuum of space - Fight enemies in space on the exterior hull of a space station/space ship can't
hear anything except your breathing and the vibrations of your gun (sounds from inside your suit)
Since you can't hear anything in space.

'ANYTHING WITH A DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENT' - Something unique with factors that can kill you!
e.g. Geth Dreadnought and those shockwaves...


Game Modes :

Search & Destroy - Team is dropped off in a location and have to find and destroy an objective

Survival - Survive waves of enemies (infinite)

Defend the VIP - Escort/Rescue a VIP in distress. Council Member etc. trapped/overrun on some
planet/ship etc.


Random Enemy Mode - Every wave is a different enemy

Role Reversal - We get to play the bad guys... fight the alliance.
(Meh... this kinda ties in with the council armies as a faction.. a bit iffy on this)

Extraction - Battles are lost all over the galaxy. Your squad has to evacuate an area. Before annihilation.
Objective based evacuation that follows a linear plot, unlike our current horde mode extract. Tell a story...

Objectives/Mission Ideas :

(Similar to missions on Single Player except Coop. Team of 4 set out to achieve a task. Missions should require team
work and perhaps require the need for squad class diversity; e.g. Engineer to disable/hack something, adept for
barriers to protect squad, etc.)

(The need for Heavy Weapons lying around the map has been brought up a few times. I think it fits quite well to
different circumstances that may occur in objective/mission based coop. e.g. a flamethrower lying on the ground
in a rachni tunnels is high appropriate. I for one however do not find the need for a flamethrower on 'horde' mode)


Batarian terrorists/terrorist in general - (Drawing on a bit of that ME1 DLC forgot the name...) Bomb Defusal/
Hostage Retrieval - Force team to split up in situations - Defuse multiple bombs in different locations at the same time
- Force team work.


Commandeering a ship - Your team has to storm a space station/dreadnaught - that has been indoctrinated?
Overrun by _____?


'Holding the line' - Have to 'hold the line' at an alliance/turian/krogan/whatever outpost. Mini-objectives like
getting the comm tower back online, AA Guns, used of turrets.


Mako/Firewalker/Kodiak - Anything with a damn vehicle. How much would you pay to have all 4 of you driving
around on a Mako mission... or 2 makos.. 1 player drives 1 player shoots..


Indoctrinated Rachni Tunnels - Search & Destroy objective - Pitch black (flash light play) eggs..swarmers..husks...
ravagers..BANSHEES!


Anything in the dark I would love to see more flash light play.. imagine having to fight a banshee in the dark.
I'd need to wear diapers...


Killing a damn reaper - How fcking awesome was killing that reaper on Rannoch. You can totally make a coop
out of that. Having to deal with husks etc.. while one player focuses the laser..


Reaper Level - Completing objectives on a level while being shot at by reaper and reaper forces.. every 5
minutes or so have to rally at a point and laser designate the reaper

Kodiak Strafing - Provide Air Support for your ground team mates while they complete objectives

Thresher Maws - Tuchanka levels... Flash lights again! Exploring the collapse ancient krogan civilization! I guess
reapers? Or maybe even cerberus is doing some kind of sketchy research project.. final boss is a thresher maw fight in
the dark! =O~~~~ (puking rainbows)

Investigating a Space Ship/Space Station - Reaper indoctrinated - Power failure (flashlight play) - Moments of
weightlessness (ME2 Normandy Intro Silent Space Walk/ME3 Boarding Geth Dreadnought) - Lights flickering

Yahg - Rescue the crew/Investigate a distress beacon of an Alliance/Council ship which has crash landed after
______________?(reaper attack/space pirates/engine failure) on the Yahg homeworld.

Collector Ship - Someone suggested the collector ship as a possible map. I can't seem to think of a mission suitable
for the setting though. Maybe Cerberus rebuilt it? Have to storm the ship, set an explosive? Or they found another
collector ship out in the Omega relay?

Earth Missions - Running through the rubbles of Vancouver/London (pre-existing locations in ME3) saving
survivors/providing ground support maybe doing thing on the side that helps shepard? Maybe you can hear
shepard or anderson giving out orders and you and your team have to respond by executing those orders?

Claustrophobia - This is more of an idea that applies to all indoor settings. ME3 Indoor settings are too big.
They have never given the player a sense fo claustrophobia. Even the rachni tunnels were huge dark caverns and
wide tunnels. Force the player down a long corridor that can maybe only fit one or two people horizontally. Have
enemies come barreling down on them as you feel the panic of not being able to run. You have to hold the line or
die! A suggestion was made about a map with tight intersecting hallways. Perhaps this idea could be intertwined
with a few of the ones mentioned above (rachni tunnels/commandeering a space ship/space station/etc.). Tight
intersecting hallways will promote a series of different tactics. Be a unique new experience.

(A lot of these ideas can be taken from Single Player Missions)

Interface :

Check host ping - Filter game search to game host origin/country or ping

In game chat - Text chat

Gun Range - In the multiplayer screen add an option to load a gun range (like the one found in the spectre
office in ME3) to let you try your weapons and skills on holographic targets. e.g. Phantom (Silver Difficulty)

Allow us to re-bind the Space button - Revive should not be the same button as Cover/Use

Better Game Search Filters - Allow us to check off maps & factions that we don't want to play.

- Console issue - Power/Skill Remapping - From my understanding you can't assign skills to certain keys??

- Console issue - Toggle Auto Aim On/Off


Gameplay :

Merge Human Male/Female - Every character should be able to play Male/Female. Do not need 2 character
slots for same thing. e.g. Human Infiltrator (Male or Female)/Salarian Infiltrator (Male or Female) I think lots of
players would love to be given a chance to play male or female quarians/tuarians/krogan etc.


Introduce Boss Waves - Bigger Rewards. Bosses have to be worthy of the title 'Boss'. Perhaps introduce this
wave on Platinum/Diamond matches

Higher Level Cap - with an additional skill

Make extraction more realistic - Shuttle flies in at the end of countdown, players will need to board the
shuttle. Take too long the shuttle is destroyed/leaves

More playable races - Batarians/Geth I think are the main 2 missing.. Hanar/Elcor/Volus/etc. seem more
like a joke..

More variety on character classes - Plays on an earlier point about merging human female and male to make
more room. Give us something like Krogan Vanguard, Geth Infiltrator, Batarian Soldier, etc.. Each class essentially
only has 3 choices at the moment.

Additional Skill - Group Power Buffs - Each class gives the group a group 'buff'
e.g. Adepts = +2% Shield/Barrier Strength; Engineers = +2% Shield Recharge Speed; etc. Buffs should not stack and
should cap at +2% to encourage variety of classes in squad.

Improve Tech Explosions - Currently tech explosions only set off if the enemy dies to your skill (correct me
if i am wrong) - Perhaps changing it so that you can trigger tech explosions like bio explosions (1 skill sets up
the other executes)


Rewards/Reward System :

Changing Reward System - Certain levels/maps give different rewards.. give people incentives to play other maps

Permanent Armor/Weapon Mods - These can come as rare/uncommon items in packages depending on the
boost they give. Players can add a +3-5% Power Damage/Weapon Damage/Shield Recharge /etc Mod to their armor/
weapons that last forever until changed/replaced (A rare version of our current weapon mods)

Laser Sight - Increase accuracy for weapons for people who do not like the scope (tends to give you tunnel vision)

Individual Character Level-Ups - Level each character up individually instead of as a whole class (Gives the player
the ability to gain a feel for each character)

More Armor Bonuses - Health Regeneration, Shield regeneration, etc.

The list can go on.. What do you guys think? Does something need to be changed? Would you personally like something
added to improve your MP experience? Feedback? More ideas? Leave a comment.. I'll try to monitor and update this list
everyday...

You should add the Collectors for a possible other faction, but definitely Mercs are a good idea. I am growing a bit bored sadly, so I am anxious for anything they throw at us.

I agree. With this whole SP ending debacle, I feel like any DLC originally planned for April release (Omega) along with any MP stuff added to it will be delayed.. Gamers have notoriously short attention spans.. Come april/may if BioWare still doesn't have anything.. everyone is going to be moving on.

I really believe that when people begin to do speed-runs of things such as the basic gold on this game is a good sign of us needing a survival mode.

Imagine getting a group of friends to try and survive as long as possible against the uknown, instead of just rushing through 10 and a half preset waves.

See the reason the current factions work so well is because of all the different roles the enemies play within a certain faction. Previous enemy factions (for example, lets look at the collectors) didnt really have much going on, I mean you got:
1. Basic Collector
2. Harbinger?
3. Pretorean I guess?
4. Abominations
5. Husks
6. Scions

It wouldn't make sense in the context of the multiplayer... but I can see scions and collectors being fun to deal with...

I'm not a big fan of a difficulty increase for base levels. They should keep bronze, silver, and gold. Then they should add PLATINUM mode as you suggested for the hardcore types like you. As it is by asking them to increase difficulty of current modes you will discourage the noobies and casuals and cater nearly exclusively to the daily peeps. Not in Bioware's interests. Platinum mode! lobby for that but don't up bronze, silver, and gold. Sticks with the METAL theme they got going down. It would also hopefully prevent Bioware from breaking out the Nerf Bat again.

I dig the more facions idea. Would add some variety as would the objective based play ideas you had. Sounds like fun times.

I usually care about lore, but I wouldnt at all if they introduced collector enemies into MP.

Plus, the collectors had the basic collector guy (ground troops), the ones with sniper rifles or the collector particle beams, then preatorians, scions, husks, abominations, (no harbinger this time, I imagine). Release a dlc with the collector weapons added to your packs, and the option to have collector enemies, plus a collector-themed map maybe. The enemy types are all there.

Basic guy (been a while since I played me2) = assault troops
particle beam guys = nemesis
preatorians = brutes
scions = atlas/banshee
abominations/husks = self explanatory

Maybe a few new types like a collector general (we only saw the one) to round it out. A platinum difficulty on top of that would be amazing, imo. Plus a merc faction later on (or vice versa) would be stellar.

I would probably pay standard map-pack dlc price for that. Maybe $10-15, hold the line be damned.

another one could be a take control of the badies where the game in some cases, changes the team's role, instead of being the good guys you get to be the bad guys, the game chooses a similar class that the players chose that fits correctly with the bad guys
e.g. instead of fighting cerberus, you become cerberus and fight against the alliance

The game hasn't even been out for a month and already it "needs" DLC? If this keeps up I might actually start feeling sorry for developers.

If you're bored with it already maybe you just shouldn't play any more? Or maybe take a break until some DLC actually does come out...

The Harvesters? Probably not possible, given the space limitations in MP. I suppose on some levels that could fly in and take a specific position to spawn in enemies, but it's simply not possible on some of the maps.

What kind of counter-productive troll statement is that...If you have nothing good to say.. then don't say anything at all.. besides not everything on here needs to be DLC. Adding another difficulty level could simply just be a patch. If people can farm the hardest level of your game.. and even solo it (video on youtube) then clearly it is not hard enough..

hmm.. I'm not sure if they were harvesters. I'm refering to the ones in ME2, you first come in contact with one on horizon, where it hovers around. Has barrier and armor.. lands and does a shockwave thing.. shoots a laser beam...

You wanted feedback, that is my feedback. My feedback on your post is that I don't feel DLC is needed to maintain interest in the game at present.

There will always be people out there that will take one look at your hardest difficulty level and strip it down to a farm-able system. I'm still finding gold challenging myself. I guarantee that any new difficulties added will suffer the same fate in a similar time-frame.

Just because I disagree with your opinion and voice my own(perhaps a little sarcastically), doesn't mean I'm trying to troll you.

Where as your 2nd statement you explain that your multiplayer ineptitude causes concern for raising MP difficulties. See the difference in the two statements? Your second statement.. raised an issue.. and addressed it.. whatever this is off topic..

All I really like to see is a patch to fix bugs, this has to be first game I can recall of recent where there has been no patch at all for what...3 weeks now? Meh.

Where as your 2nd statement you explain that your multiplayer ineptitude causes concern for raising MP difficulties. See the difference in the two statements? Your second statement.. raised an issue.. and addressed it.. whatever this is off topic..

That's the Preatorian and I hated them on insanity.

They were definetly a pain on Insane. Especially without a weapon that could single shot it.. every fight with them would turn into guerilla tactics.. that involved your inept squad mates to take cover in plain sight.. I'm not sure which was more frustrating. Trying to deal with the Preatorian.. or having to coordinate your squadmates to cover and keeping them alive..

They'd make an excellent mini boss fight for MP tho. Couple them in with some husks.. and maybe scions to throw you off your guard. Could be quite fun.

I'm not sure there's an "urgent" need, but yes I'm sure there will be DLC for extra playability coming at some point. Too good a moneymaker for EA/BioWare not to do this.

There has been a minor patch during the first week.. the game never informs you though. You have to do it through origin. I stumbled across it by accident and was quite surprised how discreet it was. I'm not sure if it even fixed anything.. But yeah the credit/package bug is annoying. Have a few BSN member in my group who constantly get disconnected from games around wave 7-10...  they've had that bug since demo. Poor guys pretty much given up on ME3 multiplayer..

I don't understand why everybody is constantly begging for increased difficulty. Don't you care about realism at all? I understand you might want more of a challenge but don't you think it's pretty stupid if you have to unload 5 full clips into 1 enemy? Especailly a weak enemy like a Cerberus/Geth Trooper or a Cannibal? In real life war a soldier doesn't have to unload 20 clips just to take down 1 enemy so why would you want something as ridiculous as that in your game? It may be "too easy" but I'll take realism any day. I already can't enjoy silver or gold because it's to unrealistic. If anything I would want them to add more enemies & more bosses but not make it more difficult. Adding Harvesters & the Geth Colossus would be cool, but don't make my guns completely useless.  I prefer realism over difficulty.
