Something new would be good. Maybe a new difficulty only for when people start getting higher level weapons and such, on top of some new objectives/bad guys. As far as gold being to easy though, if they nerfed biotic explosion spam it probably wouldn't be as easy. As far as soloing gold, it's only possible with certain classes, and takes a large amount of time due to what one has to do to be able to solo it.

It is a Coop PVE game.. Stop talking about nerfing... There is nothing wrong with adepts... and bio explosions. Sure they have an advantage against reapers.. and only on certain maps. Firebase White in particular. You throw a 4 man team of adepts against Geth you will not be getting the same results as a 4 man squad of infiltrator or engineers..

If anything talk about buffing weak characters.. There are reasons why nobody want to play certain races.. and If you would like to discuss that.. this is not the thread for it... Now moving along... back to great MP ideas..

Judging by how defensive that sounded I'm guessing you usually roll with four adepts (or sentinals) possibly?  I actually agreed that later on they should add a new difficulty for when people get better gear, along with the new objective types ect.  I'm definately ALL for them buffing the "gimp" races instead of nerfing the much more "effecient" ones though.

Also, you shouldn't need to spam 4 of any class to be the most effective (in gold), ESPECIALLY since it's a co-op game, not some skill instesive min/max competitive game where most people organize games/set ups.  Since I'm sure most people just play random games where people will want to play whatever class/race they want to play, they should all be reasonably as effective as the other (which they aren't obviously).  Once they, as you suggested, BUFF the less than great races/classes to be able to clear things with as much ease as four salarian infiltrators spamming black widows, or adepts spamming biotic explosions (which is still very effective vs the other factions), then I'd say a higher difficulty should be higher on their "to do" list.

So sticking with the MP ideas, adding a higher level cap along with a new skill branch for each race/class, maybe a custom selected one like from the single player, perhaps to go with a new difficulty if they added one.

I'd like to see passive upgrades of some sort. These could be added as "armor attachments" or "modules" witth a limit as to how many you can equip at one time. Perhaps each character would have 2-4 slots for such attachments/modules.

ie; Weapon Damage +5%, Shield Recharge Rate +10%, etc

Thoughts?

Not quite sure I follow isn't that the same thing as what we have now? Armor Mods..? Can you clarify?

Of course!

Equipment is temporary- you use it once, and it's gone.

An armor module would more or less be a rare, "permanent" piece of equipment.
That being said, it's effects could be stacked with temporary equipment bonuses as well.

For example:
Soldier A equips a Weapon DMG +3% module. Every match he would have that boost until he removed the module. That's on top of whatever damage he's getting from his class and amps, etc.

This would encourage builds for different weapon types, etc; players could also possibly work around nerfs to an extent with it, with the nerf still having -some- penalties, for example:

A player uses "Assault Rifle A" frequently. It shoots fast and the DoT is great. He simply adds Weapon DMG upgrades to improve his performance.

However, a patch is released that slows down the weapon. It's simply not as good anymore. He loves this gun, though! The player removes his DMG modules for RoF improvement. It might not be as strong, but it's shooting close to the old speed.

That probably wasn't the greatest example, but there you go. xD Of course, these would also work for shield improvements, biotics, etc.

So like a rare version of what we currently have/use...
Yeah I think this works, but it might give players an insane power up tho. If you had +5% weapon damage on your weapon and armor.. added to the list regardless.

While I like the idea of adding more to multiplayer, its simply unnecessary OP. OP, you need to find a MMO to play for all the time you have to farm Golds.

I'm fine as long as they don't charge us $ for the new enemies/maps.

I don't want to see the community fractured and split.

How about no ..... Put everything back to how it was on launch! Let professional multiplayer designers rebalance everything ans add a new difficulty! .... The way they're doing everything now they buff the enemies rediculously then nerf the crap out of the players. Soon bronze will be gold and gold will be enemies have god mode .....

Don't know if anyone knows this, but the maximum number of active enemies at any time is 8.

If that was set up to 12, or 14, or 40 (lol) the difficulty will go up tremendously...

Of course... I don't see that happening anytime soon.

So to get this straight to everyone in my understanding...

Passive Upgrades:
Its the same as power upgrades you get from the terminal by Glyph such as Power Recharge +5%, Ammo Capacity +5%, Weapon Damage +5% but its set to be slots on armor itself such as the armor pieces in SP that benefits to players the way their avatar is made such as soldier, infiltrator most likely using weapon/headshot damage increase yet not actually binded to the preset multiplayer armor itself thus keeping the selected class (race/gender).

The Balance:
It again, depends on the class which another has said, "rather than nerf the superior class, gear the gimped classes". At most, the base difference from a weapon thats level 1 and one thats level 10 is a 30% increase. Its a nearly accurate guesstimation and falls in the line of logical upgraded stats. So add the selected number of slots with whatever mods to increase damage and you can get a 20% increase of just one single mod used 4 times. As the mod's rarity goes hand in hand with the level of the player, thus making matches more manageable for ALL classes.

And to the underrated weaponry that is the SMG. It was never meant to be used as a primary weapon. Its "weightless" mod (+90% decrease in weight. Cmon, its a given to use it) is a given for anyone as a sidearm to save the option of melee ur way thru mobs of enemies to get to that ammo box. AH WHO AM I KIDDING. Melee does more damage than the SMG does with armor piercing and weapon damage increase. Its just that bad. And out of all the normal assault rifles given in ME3, the mattock, vindicator and falcon are the only weapons to leave a ****** in the enemies armor. Simply dumping 60+ bullets into one mob is not a great way to go on harder difficulties.

And on a final note. Everyone gets the same amount of XP, no matter who's first or last. The mobs and points are set, the only way to increase the XP is to kill the spawning enemies during objectives but its counter-productive to getting the MUCH needed credits so do those objectives fast for more credits.

I agree, and whoever said geth infiltrator, OH LAWD, do want.

This multiplayer will die in a few months if they dont release new content, but i dont expect it to be for free, which could kill the game anyway.

This muiltiplayer is already dying. Why does everyone expect everything to be free? Maybe if they filled our games with advertisement. will they be free. Honestly, I probably spend more money going down the road in my car to grab lunch/dinner... Now I understand the hate for having to pay extra on content.. but games are expensive to make nowadays.. bah.. this is off topic.. moving on..

Wouldn't mind seeing playable characters from the other forces in the fight against the reapers (Mercs and Geth come to mind, oh god do I want a Geth character, or a Vorcha, or Batarian) really I think the game is excellent but the current maps and enemies will wear thin soon enough as we get used to the same map/enemies over and over, so really an addition of a new enemy set or two and perhaps a few more maps wouldn't be missed, ultimately this is why I like the idea of a map maker/mod tools so the community could fill in some extra content however it'd also be open to abuse with player weapons/mods so a toolset for Maps/Enemies.

Anyway, yeah, more maps please, though I don't mind waiting a few months for it.

Gold Geth is NOT even close to as hard as Gold Reapers.

I've beaten maybe 100+ Gold Geths, I've beaten 2 Gold Reapers....

I want heavy weapons- on both sides. Droppable heavy weapons that you can pick up, use, and drop when empty or whatever just like in single player (although singleplayer didn't have enemies using the weapon and then dropping it- you always found it pre-placed)

Alternatively, being able to chose different heavy weapons than the rocket launcher would be awesome.

He's complaining because paid Maps/Enemies will split the community because people will not be able to play together.

Weapons, armor, customization & vanity stuff are good to pay for because they don't seperate players. Everyone can still play with everyone.

Heck, paid DLC characters even work (altough this will conflict with balance & the spirit of the game)

Maps & enemies on the other hand do seperate the community and is bad.

"Heck, paid DLC characters even work (altough this will conflict with balance & the spirit of the game)"

Unless the characters are horribly unbalanced, I don't believe this would be an issue. Based on what we've seen, I don't have any reason to think they'll be OP'd or disrupt the existing balance. The dynamics might change, certainly, but I think that the game enriches itself with diversity. Players are encouraged to play as different characters and work as a team with other classes.

I mean, unless there are going to be six new soldier types, I'd actually be rather excited. :)

hmm a map of reaper ship with movable platforms and having a timer on a imminent hull breach due alliance pounding the crap out it like but the timer only starts after say round 9 which would be the hardest level coming till 10 when they throw everything at you and you have to race to kill the mobs fast to get to thru the rounds{think lighting rounds} before the breach kills you

I would rather see them doing something about the guns so all biotic/tech/weapon oriented class will have similar edge against all opponents. This is really critical.

I think that the Geth 'were' a little underpowered to begin with. My friends and I beat Gold for the first time yesterday - twice, because we felt like trying it out and it turned out that it wasn't all that bad. A lot of running around, but once the enemies stop spawning, it's not that bad.

Something I think would be really cool is the addition of a boss wave. I'd make it hard to access, like only after achieving full extraction on gold. Then I'd starfox it: because of the excellent results, the enemy has left a valuable target exposed. So your shuttle gets re-directed to take out a Harvester, Colossus, or secret research facility (or a better Cerberus analogue.) If you beat this wave, maybe you get a special pack (hell, could be an "N7" pack), or a big credit reward. Make this boss encounter incredibly tough. If you do allow the winners to open an N7 pack, make this the only way such a pack can be accessed outside of event weekends.
