All DLC vanished from my N7 Digital Deluxe Version...

I purchased the N7 Digital Deluxe Edition from Amazon.  It was $80 and on release day I downloaded the entire installer from Amazon.

It went well- I installed Origin, which installed ME3 along with a bunch of addons (From Ashes, the soundtrack, the artbook, etc).

I played through ME3 and even spent another $30 on multiplayer buying Bioware points.

Then a couple days ago, around the time of the patch, I suddenly started getting the "Unable to authorize DLC" error.  Even though the From Ashes DLC was right there.

I contacted support on Origin Live, who advised me to download a 50 MB patch through Origin Live for the DLC, which I did.

After I restarted Origin at their request, my addons (ALL OF THEM) vanished.

My game still reads "N7 Digital Deluxe Version" but with no addons.  I called Origin Live support, and the techs there told me something VERY different: "the Digital Deluxe Version only has the assault rifle and the raider DLC. From Ashes is not included."

Needless to say, I'm extremely upset.   Not only did I not solve my original problem of not being able to log in due to "Unable to authorize DLC" errors, but now my addons are gone, and tech support's saying it's SUPPOSED to gone??

My savegames are no longer playable, because the game tells me that it's missing DLC content.

I think Bioware can confirm that I indeed have the N7 Digital Deluxe Edition, and that I'm supposed to receive all this DLC.  But I don't think EA wants the same thing.

Can someone please help me reset my account to what it correctly used to be??

Even just confirmation that the N7 Digital Deluxe Edition that we preordered IS or IS NOT supposed to contain the From Ashes DLC would be helpful.

Hello, this is Apu can you try reinstalling the game? Please don't forget to backup your saved game files.

Hello, Apu again, are you sure you are using the same email address you used to buy the Deluxe Edition?

My digital deluxe edition (also from amazon) did come with all of the extra stuff you mentioned. I also have been getting the "Unable to authorize DLC" error from time to time for From Ashes, but that usually only happens when my internet is out when I start to play (almost as if the game won't recognize the DLC unless you're logged in, which I think is ridiculous. I could understand if, like with me2, when you first installed the DLC, but I've had it installed since it came out [technically before], so..), but yeah, for future reference, if it helps, and you still have your save files that used the DLC backed up and are attempting to re-download the game (i haven't downloaded any extra patch), I just exit out of the game and restart it. It usually recognizes the DLC then. It's annoying, yeah, but since my extra stuff hasn't disappeared, I'm not going to complain (like I just came here to do).

I ordered through Amazon and the download included the Origin client. I signed up with the same email address everywhere, so I don't think that's the problem.

I reinstalled the game but the problem is still the same; the Origin client shows that I have the "N7 Digital Deluxe Edition" but when I click on the little "i" information button, the only addon listed is "M55 Argus Assault Rifle."

EA support folks at the Indian call center continue to insist that the "N7 Digital Deluxe Edition" does NOT include the DLC. I find that unacceptable.

That's the original problem I had, but after I restarted my Origin client (as instructed by the Origin Live support team), my N7 Digital Deluxe Edition's DLCs and addons all VANISHED. That's my problem here now.

Join the club, mate...I wasted 2 hours of my life with EA support staff on that last night, and 3 times I was morphed into an Angry Marine during that period...that tells you the frustration factor, eh?

This is punker factor sky-high I'm telling you...

I don't believe that Bioware doesn't care about bugs like this. I believe that they're just overwhelmed at the moment.

Just keep steady and keep this on their radar; they'll get to fixing us up soon enough, I hope.

Anyway, bump this up to keep Bioware aware this SNAFU of theirs on the radar.

My N7 Digital Deluxe Edition is still missing all of the addons. Has anyone else run into this issue and is reading this thread?

If EA support aren't being helpful, try contacting BioWare and explaining your problem.

When dealing with EA support, always be polite and patient, they are much more likely to go out of their way to help you if you are. If they say From Ashes is not included with the Digital Deluxe Edition, feel free to point out this tweet confirming it is by Casey Hudson himself.

To get in touch with BioWare i'd recommend emailing contact@bioware.com.

Make sure you are using the latest version of the game by Right clicking the game and selecting Check for Update (from the Origin "My Games" screen).

Now, I expect this has already been done, but just to make sure we're all on the same page, to play From Ashes you need to have downloaded it via the Origin client first.

Open Origin, under your Games list click the "i" button on Mass Effect 3, you will then see a list of "ADD-ONS AND BONUSES".

If "From Ashes" is listed make sure that it is also "Installed", if it is it should look something like this:

If From Ashes is not installed, install it. If it is installed, check you are connecteded to the internet and wait for it to finish "Checking Downloadable Content..." (possibly twice - for some reason when starting the game it is often shown twice for me) before attempting to load any save games.

If it's not listed at all, then you have an account error, which will need to be resoved by EA/BioWare.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, that was very detailed. Unfortunately my problem is that it doesn't show up in the Origin client at all, even though I have the N7 Digital Deluxe Edition.

Since it doesn't show up, I can't even try to download it. Sounds like a couple others have the same problem?

In that case, it's definitely some sort of account error that more than likely someone from EA will need to resolve for you.

If you're willing to try EA Support again, get in touch (I would suggest via live chat), tell them that you purchased the Digital Deluxe version of Mass Effect 3 and that after updating the game the From Ashes DLC (along with any other content that you may be missing) disappeared from your account.

If they insist that From Ashes is not included, politely point out Casey Hudson's tweet which explicitly states that it is included (it also may be worth mentioning that he is the Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series - as they more than likely will not know that).

State that From Ashes was originally included, but after updating was removed from your account and ask them to provide a replacement product code so that you are able to use the DLC again.

That's how I'd go about it at least - also remember to be polite & patient, no matter how frustrated you may be and you are much more likely to get a satisfactory result from them.

Finally, if they say they are unable to help you, ask for your case to be escalated to their supervisor - if they can not resolve it for you, hopefully their supervisor will be able to.

Best of luck! I hope that you get this resolved - sometimes it has been a long and slow process, but I have almost always been able to get EA support to resolve whatever account issues I was having in the end by being polite and not giving up when someone said they are unable to help (e.g. by asking someone else, asking for a case to be escalated, etc).

All my DLCs - aside from the Indra - were installed since day one release, and I've done 1 playthrough before this crap, for cry out loud...have no idea why.

Both my contacts with EA support were live chat, the one I shown them how it "happened" were done with desktop share so they got what they needed, and since my complaint on the 23rd, they're still "working on it"; meanwhile, I've complained to BioWare via email as well.

And I've done all possible "repairs" on the book. EA / BioWare should at least tell us what's going on - we paid good money for legit copies and thus we deserves at least this much.
