Yet we're the childish idiots who attack people and are "forcing" our opinions down their throats.

It wasn't an attack, it was a statement of fact. As evidenced by the actions of people on the forums today STILL not being satisfied after Dr. Muzyka's statement. People demanded that the DLC be free, that BioWare match the Child's Play donations, that BioWare give them a pony... okay, that last one was me, but still.

No matter what BioWare gives you, you. Will. Not. Be. Satisfied.

It's not an attack, it's not forcing opinions down your throat, it's just the cold, hard truth.

your right

ive said this many times myself but since im not a true mass effect fan like some have accused me of i guess ill just never understand

maybe i should sue them for false identification now or slander

ps. that sarcassim in case anyone else didnt get it

Oh, for the love of...

Listen, and listen well. We *got* the game that we were "promised." Just because there was an execution problem with the end does not invalidate the rest of the experience. Heck, Fallout 3's Broken Steel expansion proves that a team can revisit a problematic ending and blow everyone's minds in doing so!

The mythical game that you feel entitled to only exists in your unreasonably high expectations.

Indignant demands are not going to get you what you want. You say you want choices? You say you want meaningful outcomes, consequences that reflect your mark on the world that was crafted? Take a deep breath, step back, and give Bioware a chance to do that at which they excel.

You know, not to nitpick... but... Broken Steel literally broke Fallout 3's ending for a lotta fans, mostly the Dinosaurs (myself included). :P

Most likely we'll just get DLC that provides closure and a way for starships to travel without the relays.

Don't you get it? :) Mass Effect it's name, it's universe... MASS and then effect - Mass relays - it's a major part of Mass Effect lore, of everything... Mass relays, the Citadel - makes it unique.

I take my hat off to the team at Bioware. Great job guys, ME3 is a great ending to one of the best gaming series to hit the market.
Throughout the series you've created a story full of depth and heart. In my opinion, the fact that so many players are upset about the ending is a testament to the impact of the story and how strongly people identified with the characters.
I found the ending to be both satisfying and appropriate, and it shows Commander Shepard has the personal character to walk his talk.
As a player I've enjoyed many hours playing and replaying through the various episodes. My money was very well spent. Shep's losses along the way are portrayed in such a way that at times I feel real disappointment and sadness, just as his/her wins inspire satisfaction. I also love the little bits of humour along the way.

In spite of all the hoohar, you should know that some of your fans are satisfied with another class game.

Kudos on another great title.

EDIT: And wow. I just realized it's the same pro-ending people from yesterday. Bye. I'm out. Image IPB

For what it's worth I agree with the OP. I was dissatisfied with the ending, but the Mass Effect team worked on this franchise for a long time. They gave me a product I was happy with even though the ending left me confused. Yelling at their face won't help. Certainly some of the jokes and personal attacks that I've seen during the whole 'controversy,' I think, is rather unnecessary.

I still love the rest of the game. So I'm going to wait what the team can come up with DLC.

Mainly because it said next to nothing like Hudson's statements, it was just more PR except from a higher up meant to try to placate the community without doing much of or saying anything. He did not even admit fault over the silly promises made to the fanbase before release, or go with a unveiled "Who cares, deal with it." statement

Honestly, Bioware would've been better off not saying anything at all till April, or saying something definitive, rather than more PR gibberish. Tired of seeing the BS spin so I can decide whether I feel like bothering with this game for the foreseeable future or not. Right now it's looking unlikely.

I can. I did. I'm right. You're wrong.

You know why I'm right? Because I can point to actual, real evidence to back my claim up. Seriously, the threads started after Dr. Muzyka's statement today have been so insanely demanding and entitled that it blows the mind.

It said that they're listening, that they're sorry so many people were disappointed, that they want to work with the fans to create better DLC to help explain the endings, that they're looking for constructive crticism to help them with their task...

But other than literally everything you've been asking for, you're right. It said next to nothing...

You need to look up the word fact.
You basing this on Muzyka's statement?
Where did he even said anything about anything?
It was another PR respsonse that I'm pretty much used to ;)
Funny how I'm not even caring about that let alone mad.

Okay, I'm not even going to begin to attempt to quote a specific post in here. I'll just jump straight to the point instead.

Forums are full of whiners. We moan and groan over things we don't like, nerfs/buffs that don't suit us, and basically anything and everything we can to get some attention. This happens on 'every' forum board, and even more so on MMO forums. People like to complain. People like to fish for attention.

None of this is the same thing as a group of fans raising over $70k for a charity to get that attention. None of this is the same as managing to get articles on the topic in nearly every online game related news site on the web, and some non-game oriented ones.

Basically, the whole ending fiasco is nothing like common, impossible to please consumers.

Will a 'proper' finish to the game please everyone? Of course not. But it'll calm things back down to regular, moan and groan consumer levels.

I really think they're not gonna change the endings but just give us some closure about what happened and what happened to the characters, crew and other races. But they wont change the abc ending...which really doenst bother that much but I believe these endings need to be explained by the devs to see what they wanted us to understand...but guys changing the whole ending is not gonna happen. And adding another that contradicts those 3...is not going to happen either....we're going to get what they beleive to be closure for us which i guess is gonna ****** most people off

And that's where the slippery slope comes in. You all created this giant hissy fit and got BioWare to give in. If the DLC doesn't live up to your asinine standards, will you do it again? And again? And again? And again?

This is why I hoped BioWare wouldn't give in to you all, but they did. There's a REASON that when dealing with people who take hostages, most countries won't give in to their demands....

OP, As much as I hate to say it, the ending is fundamentally broken. In large part because it is singular, with some color filters. Even if cleaned up and fleshed out, there is no way to resolves a huge number of plotholes with the curretn Starchild ending without accepting an unacceptable (to most) level of death and destruction to everyone you fought to save, and accepting that the ending still violates the developer-player contract existing through all 3 games up until that point regarding player choice and palpable consquences/results of previous player choices.

You know whats really funny about all of this?
Their happy with the game as is right?
Why can't they play it and enjoy it?  I mean its not like the terrible ending is keeping them from it like many of us! ;)
I mean talk about being incapable of satisfaction... Is the game boring until everyone else agrees with them?
