Meh, seeing as this thread has devolved into mass trolling and countertrolling, think it's time to just let this die and slip to the next page. It's depressing when this all starts turning into "NO U" arguments just because those are easier to answer and react to than legitimate posts. Then again it's the internet, shouldn't really surprise me anymore.

I honestly don't understand these initiatives. If they want to add MORE endings to their title then why not? It would be awesome. If you don't like it, then just don't install it, problem solved.

It's not like their gonna force delete the current "ending".

I don't think you'll find anyone arguing against that. I know I'm sure not. MORE endings are fantastic. I keep saying this, I don't know why people don't believe me. Just because I LIKED the endings doesn't mean I don't want MORE added to them, I'd have to be insane to turn down MORE content. I love content. I keep saying that. Sheesh.

As long as Shepard is forced into a bespoken Ending that everybody gets, the End will never be acceptet by the most of the Fans who hate the Ending.
Don't really understand everything Dr. Muzyka said, I'm happy he said something and thank him for that. But he don't said anything about change the End... well, I really don't understand what Bioware will do. But the Fate of Shepards free will is the Fate of the End.

Our opinions are just fine. We keep trying to explain our opinions in a rational manner but some people are never satisfied. I hope no one ever changes their opinion to please them.

Nobody, and I repeat, NOBODY, is demanding you change your opinions. You can go back and look over my post history, I have never ONCE demanded someone go from disliking the ending to liking the ending. I have never ONCE said that there aren't legitimate issues with the ending. That is an outright lie on your part.

What I'm saying is, recognize that BioWare is listening to you and wants your feedback. Instead of continuing to rant off lists of demands for them to give you MORE, take this opportunity to work with BioWare and shape the continuing DLCs and endings that YOU want.

Holy hell, when I look at it, that IS completely unreasonable of me, isn't it?

Oh wait a second you keep using this term.
"you people"
Oh yeah paint us all in the same brush to make us all look bad.
Not so funny when we do it is it?
Give me a breakt.
I am working with Bioware.
I'd have cancelled my account and already moved on.
I've given them every chance.
I Pre-ordered DA2.
I gave in to Origin (even though every part of me hated myself for it).
I forgave them for first day DLC even though most of it is on the disc.
I wont buy any DLC for this game.  I wont especially not an ending DLC.  I'm not going to give them more money for what I already paid for.  I will cut my losses and move on but I don't want to.
Am I getting through to you?  IF WE WEREN'T WORKING WITH THEM WE WOULDN"T EVEN BOTHER POSTING HERE!

Again, your last statement is a flat out lie, because there are MASSES of people that have no interest in working with BioWare and still continue to post here.

Secondly, congrats on ordering DA2? I guess? I dunno, do you want a cookie or something? I'm... not sure what that's trying to say...

Thirdly, I say "you people" as a short version of saying "all of you who are against the endings but who may or may not necessarily be a part of the #Retake movement". Forgive me for wanting to save myself a bunch of unnecessary typing now and again.

I hated DA2.
Strike 1.
I hate Origin.
Strike 2.
I hate EA's business (DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC DLC )
Strike 3.
At this point were at strike 5 or something.
I've given them every chance to make this right because I love Bioware.  I think they can do better than this.
If all it takes to be a lie is that mass amounts of people do differently than I guess the world is still flat because there is a society that still belives it.
The worlds is FLAT!!! because MASS AMOUNTS OF PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE IT!!!
this is your own logic.

so your denying you said you wouldnt by dlc until bioware did what you demanded?

you do realize i have no issue digging through threads to prove you wrong right?

HUH?
Do I even know you?
I denying nothing of the sort.
If they don't satisfy me why should I continue doing business with them?  You can throw the "its art" at me all you want but I payed 60 bucks for this art.  If asking what I payed for makes me entitled than I'll wear that badge with honor.
Why would I pay future DLC for a game that doesn't satisfy me?
This isn't hostage taking its simple business.  You please your fans or you lose them.

How about having a little faith in them? For all that the ending left a bad taste in a lot of our mouths, the overall story was simply great. And contrary to the thoughts of some, the writers aren't hacks who will give us some dumbed-down nonsense because they were asked to change their original vision. They simply didn't understand the degree of emotional investment we all had in our characters as players, well, now they do have an idea, and I'm sure they'll do it justice.

I want to find out what happens to the races, how the battle went, and how our war assets that we collected ourselves effect the final battle. I also want to find out more about the normandy's escape and our crew. Also a decent epilogue for each of the 3.5 endings, or whatever needs to follow.

Yeah the Myspace was a den of trolls like this.  You would've been perfect.  Mods didn't care and you could say whatever you wanted.  It was fun.  This kind of like that without all the swearing.  But its not like I haven't dealt with your kind before.  Tell me how many of my posts have you saved for later so you can use it against me?  Because the entertaining part for me is knowing that the argument is irrelevent to you its just being right that matters.

the issue we have atm isn't with the majority. A small vocal minority (not even my words but Bioware's) has a problem. So if a small portion want an ending change is it right for the majority to have to deal with what a minority wants?

Haha, I knew this was going to come up at some point.
Let's just put it this way. I think Bioware are astute enough to be able to accurate gauge feedback, when they need to, and I think they've found out that the number of people dissatisfied with the ending is not a minority. It's a majority, and a substantial one. Are most of them jumping up and down, demanding changes, returning games, throwing tantrums, or similar? No. But would they be happy for Bioware to make changes to the ending in a way that makes it more credible, and resolves more of the story in the player's mind? Absolutely 100% yes.

But.. it's NOT a majority. Assuming they've sold 1.35 million copies of ME3, and I've heard the number is as high as 1.85 but we'll go with the smaller one, that means that 675,001 unique complaints have to be made before they can be considered a "majority". It's just simple math.

The TRUE majority are the ones who don't care enough to participate in this discussion, one way or another. It doesn't mean they LIKE the endings, it doesn't mean they HATE the endings. It just means they can't be assed hopping on the internet to rage about it one way or another.

There's a reason it's called the "silent majority".

Yes well the best trolls never admit they are trolls.  I have to give you credit for keeping me going for as long as you did.  Some of those guys at Myspace had me fooled for months.  OMG I'll never forget that epic Avatar argument.  Or the Vegetarian thread.   Those were epic.  This place would be so much better if their was a section that allowed anything.
Seriously it would let people blow off steam without any repercussions...  Because even with the worst kind of name calling its cool when you know no one is being serious.
With Myspace it had that atmosphere.  People thought it and they said it uncensored and we got along more than people do here.
isn't that Ironic?

No but seriously good play.

Bioware does not have to do a thing, unless they want their fans to be happy.

Bioware only need to look at the previous games they made to understand what the fans is expecting.
I have no real problem with them keeping the starchild and the three endings, as long as these are patched for potholes and can be avoided. Because these three endings scream of not having high enough paragon/ renegade reputation or succeeded good enough in quests to affect with your decisions.

A more fleshed out epilogue that changed in detail via your previous choices would have allayed a lot of these problems, as well as cutting out the Normandy crash landing and Joker running away.

Hmm? Without wanting to go off topic, this is a bit like when there was a recent protest about an issue in my city, and close to 200,000 people took to the street. The response to the protest by some who took the other side? 'That indicates that the 3,800,000 people who didn't participate in the protest agree with us!'

This is something similar. The correct way is to not blindly assume that the silent majority take the opposing view to those who speak up, but rather that it's simply unknown. To actually get a reasonable idea, you can do two things: You can do surveys to get a broad view while taking out self-selection bias, or you can extrapolate the sample that you do have, and make a reasonable assumption that those who have remained silent have similar views to those who have spoken, albeit less strongly and perhaps some have no opinion at all.

Very good point.  Better said than I could have.
I know 2 people who are very unhappy with the endings.  Neither of them will ever post here.  1 of them is way to busy to even think about posting on forums (12 hour work shifts would do that to anyone) and the other doesn't want to bother.  Their are people with opinions who feel no desire to voice them.  Does that mean theirs don't count?  How abou this argument itself?  I bet there are some people unhappy but don't want to get into this whole thing.  God I know some people who would never post again if they were gamers.
