Won't someone please think of the vorcha!

They're not a true space-faring people. They're more like hitch-hikers than anything. Their position in the galactic community is more akin to infection than participation.  So will The Reapers overlook the festering asscrack that is the Vorcha home-world?

Sadly, i think they fall under "sapient" and "sentient" beings, so i don't believe they will be spared... nor the yahg, for that matter

Part of the Reaper plan is a coverup. Vorcha on their homeworld know about the greater galaxy and the Reapers. They must be silenced.

Do you honestly think the vorcha know anything about anything? Really?

The yahg would be spared they were not spacefaring and thus would not even know of reapers attacking the galaxy.

I propose a DLC where Lieutenant Gavorn rises up to lead the Vorcha in glorious revolution. He's a tricky one. Lots of talk.

Semi-related I wonder if Cerberus had any problems with the Vorcha living on Omega when they occupied it? You would think the Vorcha living there would have a head or two to break over that.

I don't know if sapience is the only requisite. Humans (and proto-humans, mostly) have been sapient for a pretty long time. Longer than 50,000 years.

Hell, Neandertals were likely the first species on the planet to have a spoken language, given fossil records show that Neandertals had the physiological structures for vocal communication before what we would consider moden ****** sapiens. Additionally, the earliest evidence of culture and tool-use goes back about 300,000 years or so. So the ****** sapiens species (and its earlier predecessors) would have endured at least six cycles before they became relevant.

unless the Reapers wiped out the Neandertals

I thought the Vorcha can survive anywhere. That's why they're considered vermin. I wish there was some storyline with them. I found them an interesting race and one that bare the brunt of most of the casual racism in the galaxy.

Also to answer your question - indoctrination did it.

I dunno, I've been wondering why the Reapers didn't take more interest in Vorcha husks. I'm certain they could've knocked their regeneration abilities into overdrive

I don't think Cerberus would hesitate for a moment to open the airlocks and depresurize the station to rid it, and the galaxy of yet another nest of Vorcha.

You're right, i forgot about cavemen technically also being sapient, i guess they SHOULD be spared then!

Just imagine a vrocha DNA filled reaper...

It would be retarded...

The Vorcha will survive because they realized that the whole thing was just another one of Gavorn's tricks.

Hahaha

"What the hell is that one doing? He's just shooting at a guy on a cliff from far away? Why isn't he just stomping him to death, why is he giving that guy the chance to dodge?"

Vorcha are the most resiliant race in the galaxy. They can live in places even the Krogan can't. A vorcha-reaper-minion would be a pretty nasty development.

Hackett mentions that the Reapers leave the yahg homeworld alone. As for the vorcha, I'd assume they'd be killed as well, idiots though they are. The Wiki says that the raloi cut off ties to the galaxy and returned to their homeworld, hoping they Reapers would see them as a pre-spaceflight species. They would probably be harvested anyway; the Reapers wouldn't want anyone to remember that they exist and prepare a defense, pre-spaceflight or no.

Dunno where the Wiki got that raloi info though. I don't remember it being mentioned.

The crux of my statement is this: The Vorcha are a pre-space-flight civilization (if you can call them a civilization), They've produced nothing of their own. They're like pests on galactic society. Heck, they're not even -allowed- on the citadel.
