The Hitler rants video's are usually over the top and shows the attitude of the most extreme nerd raging fan. I think this the first time that the rant video actually shares the majorities sentiment.

Actually the hitler-vid for the Warehouse 13 Season 2 finale was pretty spot on, too.  Not in a bad way either.  I actually liked the finale, but ole Adolf summed up my reactions pretty well nonetheless.

On topic...

I haven't actually beaten the game yet. I'm sitting at the mission to go assault Cerberus HQ, and I can't bring myself to go through with it, for multiple reasons.

For one, my EMR is only 3.7K and i've found every war asset on the map. I know I need at least 4K to get a "hopeful" ending. But I don't own an iOS device, so that means the only way is to play multiplayer... and I just don't want to.

I *might* have dredged up the will, but knowing the endings that wait for me, I dont' see why I should put forth the extra effort for an extra 5 second clip. Plus, what happens a year or two from now, when the ME3 multiplayer is dead? How would I get a good ending then?

The whole thing steamrolls into this "Whats the frackin' point?" and thus ME3 sits, uncompleted.

That, Bioware, is how badly you screwed up. Between crappy multiplayer, forced "Readiness" rating gimping my Single Player playthrough, crappy BSG-ripoff ending, and a "Please Buy Moar Stuff!" ad as my reward... I simply don't see why I should bother.

I'm not one of the butthurt, who storms off swearing to never buy Bioware products again.  But they've broken faith three times now, (Dragon Age 2, the Character Rape of Revan in TOR, and now the End of ME3), and that's three times too much.   Bioware is off my "favored dev" list.  There will be no more Day One purchases from me.  Nope, from now on, I'm going to wait for someone I trust to recommend a product to me, like I do for most other games.

What was the first thing she said when she finished?

She sat in silence, while staring at the "Buy Moar Stuff" prompt. Then she started getting so frustrated that she was starting to tear up. Then as I was walking her out to my car, she started yelling about how the ending was bs.

My reaction was more muted. I just glossed over and came directly here. That was about a week ago. I can't play the singleplayer game anymore. I just keep thinking "what's the point?" everything just goes to hell no matter what I do.

mine was a combination of those. in addition, i threw a glass bottle on the floor, punched a hole in the wall and almost snapped both disks in half.

i wish i were exaggerating.

I'm currently taking my gf through the ME series. Just finished vanilla ME2 and just have Shadow Broker and Arrival until we get to 3. Then I'll have someone to lean on xD

Of course I still have you guys! But I know you're not real! 8D

I was fortunate. My fiancee actually listened to me about the ending and chose not to buy it. I've saved four or five acquaintances over the past few days from making that tragic mistake. I almost feel like I am doing a public service here by not only protecting my relationship and my loved ones, but warning my friends too. I have saved them the pain and anguish. -sniffle- I am such a good person! (lol)

My boyfriend beat it a few days before me and primed me firsthand for the disappointment that I was already prepared for thanks to media and BSN coverage of the scandal. None of that prepared me for it, and now here I am, holding the line. *sigh*

Was expecting..."And it was so bad she left me!".

But yeah to most of the points made, you can't be told and the reaction is a result of how good the rest of the game is, like the citadel stories...what happened.

I'll be going through this shortly. My boyfriend hasn't even started 3 yet. He doesn't follow ME or Bioware like I do, so he hadn't even heard of the controversy. I've warned him about the end, but he'll need to see it to really understand the sadness :(

Dude, your love life freaking rocks. So envious.

Yeah, trust me... The moment I found out that she loved Mass Effect, I told myself "I have to marry her". That's what makes this whole ordeal so difficult...

I loved just about every second of ME3, as did she, and then that abomination of an ending happened.

Here I sit reading this, while my girl likes to play facebook games. :crying:
On the other hand, it did save her from a huge disappointment :innocent:

I have a friend who is still working his way through the game. He says he's only doing 1 mission a day because he wants to savor and enjoy it. He keeps talking about how great it is and how much he's enjoying it. I've told him the ending is very disappointing, but I haven't given any details. It is very difficult to watch unfold, knowing there's no way they can understand until they witness for themselves.

I didn't understand the hate, I avoided spoilers, I thought: 'It's Mass Effect, how bad can it be?'

I was so wrong.

My wife just beat the bad ending into me. She got to the end first then told me all of it so I did not even have the joy to be surprise hate for the first time when seeing it she even made me pick the blue path. Then she made me play it again to see the other ending. So just for warning the moment you get married she owns your soul good luck pal.

My GF just wrapped up the Tuchanka missions. She's been completely absorbed by the game... The whole bit with Mordin made her sad, and she really pondered the outcome of curing the genophage and letting the krogan (with Wreave in charge) run rampant... or selling them out to try and keep salarian support.

I didn't have the heart to tell her it doesn't matter squat in the end which side she chose other than a few points on the Win Meter. The repercussions of her decision will never play out...

That's the real tragedy to the end of ME3.

Lol I finished like a week after all my friends and while I'd avoided spoilers I definitely heard a lot of complaining and the whole time I was thinking "wow they're being so ridiculous, I can't wait to finish it so I can tell them how wrong they are because they must be being overdramatic for the sake of it"

then I finished it and was like "the hell did I just watch"

I was so convinced people were only complaining because it wasn't a happy rainbows and unicorns ending. It never occured to me I would get an ending that actually made no sense. No not from the same game that gave me The Tuchanka mission. Not from the same company who had me spend about 60+ hours fighting geth in the first two games and then made one who completely turned my feelings around about them with only a few hours left in the second game.

I am actually cultivating some peace of mind in a friend, who was never into ME but somehow enjoyed 3 enough to ask me to keep a savegame around. He's past Palavan now and he's completely absorbed. I told him 'nahhh the people on the internet are just overreacting as usual, just see for yourself'. That statement in and of itself isn't a lie but I hated the end just as much as the next guy. I'm just setting him up for the same dissapointment as a fan who avoided the forums and rumours about any bad endings.

know it's kind of a dick move on my behalf, but since we'll have lots of speculations he'll understand why I'm not overly trying to steer him into any hopefull direction.

Yeah, worst thing about this. You want to warn your friends but dont want to ruin entire experience for them. Most people wont believe you anyway before seeing it themselves.

Damn, my friends should know me well enough by now to have just given me a full on spoiler so i coulda ended it at marauder shields.(6/6 of my friends IRL that played+beat ME3 hate the ending also >.>, and 2 beat it b4 me) I was warned how bad it was b4 it even came out by my one buddy that read all the leaks for it as well. He gave me no details, but I really wish he did regardless of me insisting he didn't. Actually he could have just told me it was filled w/ planet sized plotholes and really stressed that point, it may have saved me.
