I pick the Salarians because they're intelligent, but more frail than we are, which is helpful during both war and peace. Honestly though, any race that has mastered interstellar travel could mop the floor with us.

Asari. They seem to be the most diplomatic, friendly and approachable of the bunch. They olive branch nearly every race that doesn't try to kill their diplomats on first contact.

I'm a fan of their architecture. I was probably one of the few people who watched the background of Illium and Thessia for more than 5 minutes. Just imagining the tranquility yet complexity brought by the illuminated skyscrapers and various shops and places that are located within.

Yeah I really really liked the Asari architecture on Illium and Thessia. -___- Thank god for the omniverse theory.

Other races looks so monsterous so no matter how friendly their intent humans would probably attack them on sight. They can even want to attack Asari however as most human soldiers are male, they will start drooling in their close vicinity so that would help making peace and love easier.
