You all know what I'm talking about. For those that don't, refer to this classic scene from 1983's Scarface:

So what's your little friend?

My Soldier Shep's little friend is:

M-76 Revenant

My Vanguard Shep's little friend:

Graal Spike Thrower

Revenant for Soldier Shep, Carnifex for Adept.

The Mattock.

I don't even care that it's not as good as it was in ME2. My vanguard hardly ever uses it anyway since between Biotic Charge, Nova and heavy melee, I can take out just about everything other than Guardians and big stuff like the Atlas. When I do need it, single-shot semi-auto is simply to die for.

Plus it looks cool.

Vindicator (stability, ammo) and Carnifex (scope, barrel/ammo). Which one depends on my mood at the moment.

Paladin/carnifex for caster classes. Eviscerator/Wraith for Vanguard. Mattock/Saber for soldier. I don't use sniper rifles much but when i do I like the Geth one.

Saber with extra ammo and extended barrel. Just love how solid the shots sound, and still get a decent cooldown bonus on my engineer with it.

Same weapons here Horace!

Although on my soldier I'm also running with a Raptor sniper rifle. It's like a better mattock with a scope! Ruins enemies in mid-long range. Good opener till they get close enough to switch to the revenant.

Weapons? I did'nt need no stinking weapons. I used biotics so I guess my sheps little friend is a singularity. As well as warp.

This was me the whole game
singularity + warp = boom

When not sniping with the Javelin, my Infiltrator Shepard is never without his Disciple X shotgun.

No love for the Vindicator? I find it to be ideal in medium-long range fights. And accuracy is rarely a problem if you have a good enough stability mod. Throw on the damage mod and you're laughing.

Although I'm finding a lot of love for the Carnifex with damage mod right now.

The Particle Rifle takes too long to get to my desired damage output, even though it has unlimited ammo. I'd prefer the Geth Pulse Rifle for something that spits out continuous death.

Paladin for my Sentinel. With ammo/barrel equipped.

I hardly ever need to use it, however.

Infiltrator, rocking the Widow (none of this semi-auto Black Widow-ness for me- one shot, one kill) and an ultralight Hurricane for those rare instances when the Widow's slow reload is a liability (here's looking at you, multiple Phantoms encounter).

Avenger AR & Scorpion Pistol for my main (Adept).

After cluster bomb, Avenger is useful for picking up left over mobs. Scorpion is good for multi protection enemies between Warp cooldowns (like Atlases or Banshees).

Use different weapons on other classes to get to know all.

Ever since ME2, it's all been about 'Old Faithful':

Also known as the 'Pocket Rocket' and the 'Man-Stopper'...

In the context of how I willfully chose to misinterpret the meaning of the title of this thread, I do declare your post to be inadvertantly most in agreement with my (decidely gutter level) expectations. ;)

Ahem...ManShep prefers his boomsticks big and heavy, so not really an appropriate choice for a 'Little friend'...not much little about the Black Widow and Argus. FemShep rather prefers more refined tools, the Vindicator, Mattock and Shuriken (can't be all ninja without ya Shuriken)

Vindicator+Paladin for engineer, Wraith for vanguard. My next playthrough will be with a soldier and I suspect I'll go with a Mattock.

Vanguard - Katana mostly. It is blue. Dont like the "dirty" color of the other Shotguns after applying mods maybe.

Otherwise I would go with Disciple (cos its light) + Mattock.
