How To Save Miranda - a complete guide.

In my one non-romance playthrough of the trilogy she survived. Then I loaded my romance from ME2, broke up with her, and was really worried she would not survive. Guess I'll have to reload.

If you broke up with her somewhere:
21751 False
Make up for it, you heartless monster.
(Never had that problem, my femshep didn't romance dirt.)
And last, but not least:
-> Gibbed's ME3 Save Editor -> Plot -> Int -> search for 10491 -> set to 1 -> click set
10491: 3 -> 1
I figured that out using those two post's.
I did EVERYTHING here (and read every post in this thread) but cannot save her no matter what. I have enough paragon points to do the special paragon or renegade option but that's not helping either. What the heck. Man, I just spent the past three hours trying to figure this out with no luck.
Besides doing the gibbed save editing, I actually played and did what I was supposed to earlier to save Miranda anyway. I only turned to Gibbed save editing when I was shocked to see her die even though I never broke up with her (no romance), warned her of Kai Leng, and let her see Aliance files.

Same here. Played the games, made the right choices, used gibbeds... she still dies.
Good to know it's not just me having this issue then. Does it have anything to do with the fact that I did not play ME1 or ME2? I used gibbed editor to make changes to my save plot for me1 and me2 but that hasn't helped to keep Miranda alive. According to the save editor, Miranda was loyal in ME2 and I played both games. I honestly can't think of what I'm doing wrong on why she can't be saved.
I did the "save Miranda" actions in ME3 and used gibbed editor with all the values listed in this thread when I saw her die anyway. I've tried changing a save file just before the cutscene as well as restarting the entire mission. No luck either way. I'm kind of at my end's wit since I spent all day trying to figure this out.
Is there a plot ID for ME3 where Miranda survives? If I'm forced to see her die on Sanctuary currently, can I at least change the plot ID afterwards where she's alive and I'll get to talk to her right before the final battle? How about that?

For Miranda, I am beginning to think it is something similar. Here is why:
I recently bought a new PC rig and have decided to re-play my Mass Effect 3. However, I am having problems with saving Miranda in Mass Effect 3.
On all my plays my Shepard is a male and I had a save with Mass Effect 1 and had different Mass Effect 2 endings.
I decided to play it three different ways. In Game 1, I have a game where I NEVER romanced Miranda and spoke to her three times, gave her the assets, and warned her about Kai Leng and quickly go to sanctuary and no matter how I deal with her dad she dies. She was loyal and not romanced in Mass Effect 2, and survived. I had a sae a few moments before the encountered and I tried all the options and even tried not doing the interupt and doing the interupt if I got it.
Likewise, on my second and third play thru I romanced her in Mass Effect 2 and told her I was interested still... I again spoke to her three times, gave her assets, and warned her about Kai Leng and quickly go to sanctuary and no matter how I deal with her dad she dies. I never broke up with this Miranda and never had any other relationships (except in Mass Effect 1 with Ashley but I broke it off with Ashley).
Lastly, my third play thru I did romance her in Mass Effect 2 and made sure she was loyal and survived. I then played Mass Effect 3 and broke it off and romanced someone else in Mass Effect 3 and I spoke to her three times, gave her assets, and warned her about Kai Leng and quickly go to sanctuary and no matter how I deal with her dad she dies.
She is the only squad member that I can not figure out how to keep alive. Worse of all, on the forums there are suggestions, which I have done, but she still keeps dying. So I want to post and try to figure out how to keep her alive. Can youall help with suggestions on why she is dying still?
My only theory is that there is some quest that has to be done a specific way in Mass Effect 1 and/or 2 that do not seem related that is effecting Miranda's life. I played a mostly Paragon and mostly Renegade Mass Effect 2 saves that get imported.
I am really thinking there is a mission or quest that has to be end a specific way for her to live. Or maybe someone, like Mordin, has to live or die for Miranda to make it. Maybe it is in her loyality mission... maybe not.
I just got the editor and...
bool 20182 is set to True
bool 20183 is set to True
bool 20741 is set to True
bool 22698 is set to True
bool 20184 is set to True
bool 21085 is set to True
bool 22700 is set to True
bool 21872 is set to True
bool 21873 is set to False
int 10491 is set to 1
bool 21751 is set to False
with all the above flags... I tried all the conversations and tried with and without the interupt she dies.
I have a save a few seconds before the fateful encounter and when I make changes, i make a new save file... any other suggestions.

I know this thread's been dead for months, but gimme a break, I'm still interested in the game. ME3 is the only Mass Effect I've ever played. Is it even POSSIBLE to save her without importing a save? She's my favorite girl. Her and Allers, and I'm tired of her dying when I'm trying to do everything I can to prevent it.
Mass Effect 2 is even better than Mass Effect 3.
Go buy it.

ME2 miranda loyalty - check
ME3 Breaking up with miranda - check
ME3 KL warning - check
ME3 Giving her the Alliance assets - check
Miranda dies, no matter what happens on sanctuary (on 3 different gameplays)
With the same gameplay from me2, with miranda as LI, if you dont break up with her, she lives.
So, it seems that breaking up is a no-go if you want miranda as a war asset in the end game.

Jokes aside, I didn't give her Alliance Resources since she was sounding awfully suspicious when she asked for them. And since I saved the Collector Base and didn't get the scene where Miranda tells TIM to buzz off, I was half expecting her to reveal she was still in league with Cerberus and betray me. So I denied her resources. And she took it really badly. Really badly.

Although she survived in my playthrough...I think the scene is hell of alot better if she dies.
Agreed. I've done a playthrough with her living and one with her dying and the dying one definitely works out better. The ending of the Horizon mission is quite lackluster when she dies and the Tali drunk scene doesn't make sense as the dialogue is obviously geared towards Miranda being dead.
And it makes sense too. I found it really odd on that first playthrough that she survived all the hostiles at Horizon and plot-armored Kai Leng all by herself...

Because she uses the resources for good.
Epic fail.

This is why Liara is better than Miranda. Liara doesn't need resources, she has her own.
Trolololol.

So your reply doesn't matter, This is a problem related to starting a new game in ME3. Read the thread.
