He just sucks. He CAN'T kill the last demon. It owns him so hard that he loses 1/2 of his health before the split - and forget it if the demon activates Spirit Shield. You'll die without taking more than 10% of the demon's health.
I wish he didn't suck so hard. I really do.

Maybe a mod to give him a massive XP bonus once he enters the Fade? He would gain a few levels and you'd get to pick a few useful lspells for a change.

Me too. I wish you could at least take you inventory in the fade with him (liek you do with other characters). That way I could at least respec him with the potion of respecialization.

Hell, ld just be happy if he got to go in with a few potions of healing and lyrium.

For a blood mage he sure is pathetic.
Yet he somehow knocks down the High Enchanter, the Knight-Commander and a few Templars..at like level 2.

I haven't tried sending in Jowan as I tried with my own mage on my other account and also sent Morrigan in because I knew their gear and stats and not sure what Jowan had since he wasn't a party member. Does he have any decent gear on and staff? You might try putting something on him and taking it off before the last death blow. Also, are you playing in normal mode? If it's really giving you a hard time and you don't want to double back you can try easy mode. I've never used Easy Mode but in this instance where he is really sucking that horrible it something to consider trying.

From memory he basically has a staff and thats it...no potions, no nothing.
Yet when you or your companion goes in they take everything....
Another little tidbit that they should fix in an update.

While I understand the urge to let him redeem himself, my human noble just didn't trust him enough to send him in.
My elven mage was still on a power trip from being free of the circle then saving their bacon for them, and insisted on doing it herself. Heh.

Same here, human noble did not trust him...my vengeful human noble knifed him in the cage[that knife kicks butt bye the way...one hit kills!]
My city rogue elf believed in second chances.....but it didnt seem to matter anyway.
My mage that he betrayed hasnt met him...yet

I really enjoyed the opportunity to give characters a chance to redeem themselves.
