I have just finished the book. For me it was better than the first one, hope to see new ones.

One thing is however strange. How is that Duncan and Fiona told Grey Wardens everything about Architect and his plans, and in the game it is so suprising for everyibe to witness talking dark spawns. ( I mean Kristoff for example)

AND add to that the fact that Anora is only one letter away from Vanora, a local name for Guinevere, and yeah, it's a pretty well cemented connection.

Another fun note on BioWare's choice of nomenclature, "Duncan" comes from a Gaelic name meaning "brown warrior". Yeah. Subtle, BioWare. Real subtle. (And as said on the Mass Effect forum, Duncan's Beard SHOULD be a romance option. xD)

And, following up on another theory, Morrigan's son (I'm assuming, since Urthemiel is described as being a male) could be Mordred in some form. Also, as Morrigan is a skilled mage, and the Old Gods are repeatedly implied to be "asleep in the Fade," it can be assumed that this Old God-Child will be a freaky skilled mage. Maybe a companion for Round II in the Dragon Age Chronicles, hm???

Loved the first book and just started reading Calling. The way he describes Kell reminds me of Kell Tainer in Aaron Allston's Wraith Squadron books...if that's intentional, David Gaider has just officially become one of the most awesome people on the planet. :)

After leaving Denerim with the Grey Wardens, Maric makes a short visit to a farm.

Is the farm somehow important?

You have an automatic post-epilogue save where you can continue to play DLC or use that save for awakenings.

One part that confused me about the Calling (spoilers ahead):

At the end of the book at the Circle of Magi, why do the templars listen to an take orders from the first enchanter when he is a mage using darkspawn magic...I would of thought they would be against that sort of thing. I am surprised they weren't assisting the mages that were against him. I thought templars followed the Knight Commander and the way of Chantry. (Although the part where the First Enchanter uses a lighting spell on the Architect was very funny).Any ideas?

Yes you can use the post-epilogue save to import your character/decisions you made into awakening expansion pack. You can also use it to play DLC, however, with the post epilogue save the DLC will "take place" before the final battle. So you could use that save to download RTO, etc. and have your latest level/stats/equipment, etc..:)
Hope that answers your question.

Well I have just finished both books and all i can say is
poor marec

From this point i will give MASIVE SPOILER HUGE BOOK SPOILING ONE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOTH BOOKS

To me the first book was the saddest Mareic starts out as
am  loving man who despite seeing is
mother killed  was always willing to see
the good in people his naive personality saved his life with logane when they
met and logaim blamed him for the death of his father. he then met the witch
who we come to know as Flemeth she prophesies that logain will betray maric and
he dose two times in the book once when he sleeps with Rowan and then another
when he perposly fails to give marec all the facts.

He then meets Katrel an elf and instead of being the typical
racist human he falls in love with her and although she is a bard and was paid
to get close to the prince she too falls in love with him. A few chapters later
mareic is told what she truly was and ketrel when confronted admits to it and
in a single fit of rage maric kills his love. This was hart braking then we
find out that she had truly fallen in love with him and had changed sides all
for marec and logaine hadn’t told him because he wanted her dead. That was the seconded
biggest betrayal the worst being leaving the battlefield at ostogare.

the second was a bit happier as marec and feona are both
broken people who through them discovering each other mend each other make each
other whole again the chapters in the fade where hart braking when katrel and
yes I think it was her spirit guided marec one last time it was hart braking to
have them part again. and finally I thin that the circumstance of marecs death
are suspect and I like to be leave that he met fona on her calling and they
both went off into the deep roads for one last adventure together.

And finally is alaster I like to think that alaster is
feona's son and that someday he discovers it and meets her. It also makes me
smile to think that despite the attitude of humans toward elfs they have a king
with elven blood it's a nice slice of irony

Anyway that what I think sorry about the bad spelling and
thanks for reading

I may not have much time for reading, until I've completed my training.
