No one is touching MY Tali <_<  As much as I love my crew, I find it very difficult to not be jealous at the thought of someone else getting it on with Tali. BioWare better release at least an epilogue where Shepard can get back together with his LI and it better not be like The Walking Dead, if you know what I mean.

I would honestly feel the worst for Traynor and Cortez. If the crew of the Normandy is the only compatible life on the planet they have a dangerously small base with which to create a stable, ongoing population. Whether they take part in the population or not they're going to suffer serious emotional trauma either from regularly having sex with a gender they're not physically attracted to or knowing their lack of "contribution" is hurting genetic diversity, putting the possibility of creating a stable population at risk. Well, maybe not in Traynor's case. If Liara survives she can always help create a stable Asari population. Still, that isn't without problems since asari reproduction is more assimilation than contribution, but that's a completely different issue Liara and any other survivors would face. The more I think about it the more complicated it gets.

You don't have to worry. Tali will die from starvation in just few weeks so no one will touch her

Believe me, I wish this wasn't true but Bioware really did made her and other squadmates teleport to Normandy and stranded them on a random jungle planet and either Tali & Garrus or everyone else will die from starvation depending what kind of DNA the life on that planet is based on

Yeah, I know, but one can hope that they'll be rescued somehow. Quarians eat from dextro paste tubes (I think) anyway, so that could last her and Garrus long enough for the rescue that I know (hope) BioWare is planning. Right, BioWare, right? You wouldn't just doom them like this, right?

To be perfectly honest, I unfortunately don't think they thought that scene through at all regarding its consequences. ATM, it looks to me like they just wanted a) Eden + Adam & Eve (Joker & EDI) symbolism and separate Shep from friends and LI to add even more bitter to the ending. That's just how it looks to me and I don't believe there's any "Rescue DLC" coming, considering that the game is simply not designed in any way for post-ending DLC.

I feel like Traynor is gonna have to take one for the team - you can't be a lesbian when the entire human race depends on you poppin' kids out like a vending machine.

I suppose this means Liara will have those babies without me. Sad. Damn it.

Except if Liara was the one to have them all, then it would just be another Thessia.  Since Asari only give birth to Asari, regardless of the father race.

Yeah, that's what I meant by asimilation not contribution. Honestly, people forming monogamous relationships with her or her children would be threatening to the biological diversity of the population. Considering that there won't be any advanced medical technology for a while, the average lifespan of the humans on the Normandy will probably be cut by half, too. So, if she has say, 700 years left to her life, which is probably lowballing it, she could affect, well, a lot of generations if people form monogamous relationships with her. That's potentially a lot of children removed from human genetic stock, and that's not even counting the effect of her children. I hate to think so, but for at least the first few generation she will either be forced to accept having an open relationship with anyone she falls for or carry a negative social stigma (best case scenario) the entire time. There is nothing good about this for her.

Well, no, she can always hook up with Garrus or Tali for that first generation, provided they find food to survive. Neither of their races has a future on this planet. Still, dark times.

If the only survivors are on the Normandy, does that mean Shepard wakes up on Earth completely alone? I doubt she'd be able to move very easily on her own, so, death by dehydration beneath a pile of rubble?

Meanwhile, the gene pool aboard the Normandy probably isn't enough to sustain anything but a horribly inbred population. Liara would be the only solution since, being able to mate with seemingly anything, a small population of Asari could possibly find "fathers" in the native ecology. Disturbing as that thought may be.

The planet they crashed on looks like the one where Project Overlord took place and has deer with six limbs as well as a few aesthetically pleasing viewpoints.

Which also means they're on a planet whose moon will soon fall from the sky.
