Harbinger called the current cycle culling serious business. So no unnecessary chatting. Now I get the bad mental image of Reapers being a race of hardcore MMO raiders. Every 50K years they run the Milky Way Galaxy Raid.

Man.... Don't go there...
Blizzard making Arthas/Lich King and other important characters in the Warcraft universe open to kids just wanting new armor and not caring about the story behind the bosses is just so depressing and sad....

That's one of the weirdest parts of ME3. They even went as far as having a Harbinger convo in Arrival DLC, and then in ME3... nothing. Aside from the dying words of a Reaper Destroyer, the Reapers are silent and Harbinger is almost nowhere to be found.Madecologist wrote...
Considering how chatty they were in ME1 and ME2. In ME1 the one time you get to talk to Sovereign.. he talks a lot. In ME2 Harbinger doesn't ever shut up. In ME3, only the Rannock Reaper-Destroyer chats a bit before dying.
I don't understand it. It's a complete 180 from their characterization in the previous 2 games, and I fail to see what they gained by having the Reapers be this far away, not-present threat.

The joy of gutting Kai Leng partially made up for it, but still... Why, just WHY, isn´t there more interaction with the Harbinger?

The Reapers LOVED speaking in ME1 and 2 and showing us how inferior we were.
If you were getting reaped by a superior race, having some giant machine telling you how rubbish you were would be even more demoralising.
But alas, nothing.

1. Harbinger would be the main antagonist and be more present than ever. Final boss
2. No matter where the story goes is anyone's guess, but the decisions and choices we made throughout the series would determine the final battle and outcome/ending you get.(Rachni queen arriving in our time of need, uniting the races, saving homeworlds, making peace with the Geth, destroying the collector base)
all of our choices would play out similar to ME2's suicide mission, only on a grander scale...
Needless to say, I was totally wrong with my expectations......was I the only one that thought for sure, these two things would be a big part of ME3?!

I was 100% sure that would happen. Why waste such great potential to expand on the theme of the awesome suicide mission? Why waste an awesome villian? Does not make any sence..

I would have been okay with one encounter that lead to a conversation. Harby just showing up and blasting me just made him even more of a troll to me.
He was the most annoying character in ME2. His lines made the Reapers more goofy than mysterious and menacing. So a final attempt to stop or slow down Shepard before dooming the Reapers would have been nice.
More assuming controls and this hurts you? No.
I like Harby lines in ME2. It makes fights with collectors more personal.
If devs involved Harby in ME3 like in this fan made script it would be totally awesome.

I really hope he will be in a DLC.
All the information Bioware gave us on Harbinger in ME3 and they give us a 10 second appearance just to shoot us?
Doesn't make any sense.
And he was in the Arrival DLC. A DLC. Mass Effect 3 is the huge and final game. I expected him to be there.

From such a key player in ME2, I was very surprised (and disappointed) he wasn't more prominent in ME3.

I agree, I was so disappointed that there was no confrontation or conversation with Harbinger either than that brief cameo at the end. I was hoping the villain of ME2 would have had a larger role in ME3.
Yeah, especially given those new details like i mentioned in my paint picture.
I hope he haven't seen the last of him. I think he is an awesome villain. And a fight on foot or on the Normandy fighting him would be awesome.

Seriously, we need a Harbinger Strikes Back DLC or Harbingers Revenge.
