Holding the line is redundant because as mentioned elsewhere they have won nothing that they would not of got anyways. They would of got this additional content regardless just from constructive feedback which Bioware always asks for. The boycotts, the threats, the review bombing, the filing complaints with the FTC, emotional and financial blackmail, the aggression and arrogance of many (not all) was pointless. All feedback is asked for and upon which they would of created DLC to address such things as they always do even when remove all the nonsense people did in this case. It is essentially a gimmick to make them feel better not affect change, change they would of got from feedback alone in first place like all titles Bioware makes do the same. Wait for feedback and apply it to DLC. Also Forbes are jumping on the popular opinion bandwagon to gain popularity. Forbes has gone down the crapper as far as respectable content goes.

Then we aren't doing any harm anyway, so why stop. And if not then we wouldn't be able to get faster results, not that we have but we do have a promise that they will give us an answer (presumably at PAX), Not pointless we made it clear that what BW did was wrong and in a much faster way, If forbes is going down by supporting us then it is because of people like you who think that, as for bandwagon they came up with a valid response before the whole thing really even started. As for respectabel content it is obviously not true because their content isn't limited to this it is a wide variety of things, and if this is something that you think will take them down the you are quite narrow minded.

It means what happened was not needed, especially if it's only purpose or action was make it slightly faster. The content takes the same amount of time to make regardless so the only thing might have achieved is quicker reply/statement.

Oh PLEASE. You're all raging, that's all your doing. BoiWare goes to great lengths to try and say they want to make it better and include fan criticism, and y'all just keep attacking and attacking and attacking, instead of doing anything remotely constructive.

WARNING: Threatening violence against me, again, for simply having a different opinion than you will not be tolerated.

For me it was way too harsh article. I actually appreciated Muzyka's response about ending controversy even tho there was a lot of PR/marketing in it.

NO, we are just saying that they may just be tricking some people, I (mind you that I myself) haven't seen any real rage.
Your warning doesn't apply, I was just playing along (again not an actual threat) and saying that you were exaggerating the issue because you were.

You only praise it because it agrees with you. It has bias to one side or another which invalidates it as respectable as far as I am concerned. A respectable publication does not take sides. It states facts and not assumptions especially not what they "think" something means when the only person who knows what they mean is the person saying it. Then again it is a blog article which means the writer has no more valid an opinion than you do or me so maybe I should not be so harsh.

So, you're willing to assign BioWare malignant motives and accuse the co-founder of blatant lying in order to try and trick fans, with no an ounce of proof. And that's... not raging? Really?

And sure sure. Playing along. With threats of violence.

It's the FIRST STEP. It's an UNPRECEDENTED first step. He's coming out and saying "We're sorry. We'll try to do better. But we need your help to do better." and you're RIPPING him for that. You're accusing him of lying, or just trying to trick you, of hating the fans. Of COURSE he's not going to commit to anything. Because they haven't gotten anything concrete planned yet becuase.... THEY WANT TO LiSTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT AND WORK FROM THERE. And they're probably going to be leery about giving you ANYTHING at all, because if it's not "good enough" for you, then you all are going to do this same exact crap AGAIN.

The fact that you continually think that everyone hates you and is out to get you says a LOT about you people. It honestly does. You're the types of people who refuse to compromise, who refuse to deal rationally when someone says "We fked up, help us fix it", the kinds of people who simply do not understand the way the actual world works. It's a give and take, a back and forth. You have to be willing to work WITH someone in order to get a result that you can BOTH like. Not "GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE I WANT I WANT I WANT". THAT is the behavior of a two-year-old, and until your "movement" stops with that behavior, you're going to continue to be labelled as children.

Also, I sure felt threatened. You wanted to "savagely beat me". I don't consider that "playing along".

I praise Forbes magazine for doing the games media's job . The video games media is bought and paid for by companies such as EA . None of the sites like IGN or Game Informer did not want to discuss the ending to Mass Effect 3 . It was only after those of us who ae in the re take Mass Effect 3 group raised $40,000 for child's play is when they even took notice . or when one fan reported  it to the FTC . The games media cares about one dam thing and that is protecting the games industry. They do not give a dam about us gamers . Forbes magazine is doing great work in covering this. As well being a friend to us gamers and saying yeah this Sh*** does not smell rigjht . IGN and all other sites gave Mass Effect 3 a free pass . The game is not the 10 / 10 that everyone gave it . Its more like a 6 out of 10 based on the ending . They say the Mafia is dead no its not dead it just became the games media . Just like what Congress did to sports by bringing all the commisoneers up to DC to discuss drugs . I want to see the heads of the games media in dc discussing the utter joke of journalism they are claiming to be

Some may be over the top. On both sides of the fence.

But Muzyka hasn't actually said anything. His statement is basically PR speak and that's to be expected. They haven't reached a decision and all, absolutely all, you will get until they are decided, will be noncommital. And that's not only true for Bioware, that's true for any business running some kind of damage control.

There are high paid professionals in these kinds of business, coaching the ones making statements and telling them exactly what to say at any given moment.

So no, they're not malignant. They're not lying. They're simply not saying anything at this stage. And again, that's perfectly normal and is to be expected. The only thing remotely telling is the fact that Muzyka himself has entered the stage. Not his words, but his person.

I agree with Erik Cain. His thoughts were exactly how I felt about the blog "apology." I didn't think it was apologetic, but mostly obtuse and aghast that any fans dare to think the ending was poor. I also found it concerning that the words about "clarity" did not go far enough to determine if a new ending was coming versus an added dialogue somewhere on the Citadel that they hoped would make this ending all make sense. As the endings are now there is no added dialogue that would justify these endings or make them "more clear."

You're twisting everything he's actually saying in order to fit this "HE'S LYING! HE'S A LIAR! HE HATES US! WAAH!" agenda that you're peddling.

Be suspicious, I don't care, but instead of congregating together to whine about how persecuted you are, and how BioWare hates and loathes you, and is going to come to your house and kick your puppy, why don't you take this opportunity - this UNPRECEDENTED OPPORTUNITY - to believe that the man is upset that so many fans are mad and ACTUALLY wants to make it better, and work WITH HIM? WHY?

Oh wait, I get it. Because if you work with him, that deflates the persecution complex you all get off on.

Actually Father_Jerusalem seems pretty close to be doing just that, if you read his posts in various threads. It's mostly insults and exagerated claims towards anyone not just taking what Bioware are doing sitting down without acting upon it.

No ****ing ****.

Say "we understand you're upset and want to work with you"... get ripped for it.

Don't say anything... get ripped for it.

Release a DLC where Grunt shows you how to make pancakes the Krogan way... get ripped for it. Well, probably. Though not by me, I'd fork over cash for that DLC in a heartbeat.

I suspect the 'destructive criticism' Ray is referring too is not the fact that people are expressing their dislike for the ending (there's nothing wrong with saying you just don't like something without having to justify it, we all have the right to make up our own minds), it's the personal abuse people are being subjected to. It's the 'fans' demanding people are fired, inappropriately questioning Bioware's artistic integrity/technical ability, leaving highly offensive messages on Twitter/Facebook etc. It's just not the right way to get Bioware to take your comments seriously and to do what you would like them to do. There seems to be a horrible mob mentality thing going on, and no matter the outcome in the coming months, if we are not careful it will leave a very bitter taste in the mouth. Any 'victory' will be incredibly hollow. Bioware have said they are listening, they have shown humility and they are working towards a solution. Maybe it's time to put the pitchforks down and wait to see what they do?
