I also grew to love Miranda. Didn't like her at all on my few playthroughs, but now she is always my Shep's bff.

Thinking back on that, I'm a horrible person. James grew on me from the Mars shuttle crash onwards. Seriously, his character is so likeable, and the voice acting is some of the best in the entire trilogy. James, you sir are my bro. Never change.

But I always got the sense that when the time came, Wrex would choose his people and potentially screw Shepard over. Instead, he is clearly very genuine about his friendship with Shepard.

Tali I just never gave two hoots about. Didn't interact with her much either in ME1. In ME3, though, I really loved what they did with her character - made her way more sympathetic and stuff. I felt good about making peace between the geth and quarian and that she'd be getting a house on her home planet. I was glad to be friends with her then, those were some powerful scenes.

Jack. I couldn't stand her in ME2; felt like they'd tried to hard to make her all edgy. I always said I'd like her more if they gave her more hair, a shirt, and a better attitude. Surprise! I had a lot of fun doing the Grissom Academy mission because of her.
This i still don't really like her but she has gotten much better

My first play through of ME2 I really disliked Miranda; don't know what happened exactly but now I can't get enough of her character.

But as I talked to him I began to like him more as a bro.
And then I started a playthrough just to romance him despite having heard it was "corny", and the funny thing was, I was actually surprised that I began to like him even more. (Sadly he was trainwrecked in ME3 romancewise)

Actually, the only character that I should mention is Udina. He was an idiot in the previous games, but in the beginning of ME3 he was doing a good job, until the coup.

I hated her GUTS in ME1. But in ME2 and LotSB, she got better. And in ME3, she and I were like, sisters. I wasn't even mad when she impregnanted herself with Shepard's baby.

Thane. I didn't like him at all in ME2. Found his lack of willingness to take responsibility for his actions repulsive. But by the time he's praying for my redemption in ME3, I was crying manly tears.
THIS. I mean, I didn't hate him--it was more of a "oh that's nice, now stop being emo at me kthx." But in ME3 he was just so badass. Yes, I shed buckets of tears at his death as well.
