I never disliked Legion, but he was somewhere in the middle for me in terms of squadmate rankings. As of ME3, he is now in my Top 5 characters.

Garrus and Tali. When I first started playing Mass Effect, I was all about the Kaidan/Ash/Liara trifecta. But Mass Effect 2 & 3 changed that for me. Love, love Garrus and Tali, could not imagine my games without them. :D

I also grew to love Miranda. Didn't like her at all on my few playthroughs, but now she is always my Shep's bff.

I hated Garrus in ME1. Thought his comments where...well, Gey.

You mean "gay" right?

Yes and No, I'm not going to explain it.

I was never a big fan of Tali, still not, but she's cool because she gets together with Garrus towards the end of my Shepard's story.

Does it have to be *characters* from ME3?

My first impression of James was, "Great....It's Ronnie from Jersey Shore.  I'll be getting him offed as soon as possible."

Thinking back on that, I'm a horrible person.  James grew on me from the Mars shuttle crash onwards.  Seriously, his character is so likeable, and the voice acting is some of the best in the entire trilogy.  James, you sir are my bro.  Never change.

Wrex. But this is more a trust issue. I always thought Shepard and Wrex were great characters, and friends.

But I always got the sense that when the time came, Wrex would choose his people and potentially screw Shepard over. Instead, he is clearly very genuine about his friendship with Shepard.

Jack. I couldn't stand her in ME2; felt like they'd tried to hard to make her all edgy. I always said I'd like her more if they gave her more hair, a shirt, and a better attitude. Surprise! I had a lot of fun doing the Grissom Academy mission because of her.

I didn't have a dislike, but few borderline apathetic ones. Liara and Jacob were so close for me to not care, but now I do immensely especially Liara.

I didn't like Liara at all in ME1. Never went to talk to her except when necessary for a mission. She was really nice to my Shep in ME3 though, so I view her as a pretty chill friend now.

Tali I just never gave two hoots about. Didn't interact with her much either in ME1. In ME3, though, I really loved what they did with her character - made her way more sympathetic and stuff. I felt good about making peace between the geth and quarian and that she'd be getting a house on her home planet. I was glad to be friends with her then, those were some powerful scenes.

Liara. I didn't hate her in ME1 or 2. I just didn't find her that interesting. But in ME3, I felt like she was one of the few people who truly kept my Shepherd cool (mostly) through the worst of things. She was an old friend, a confidante, and someone my Shepherd could rant to when the pressure got too much.

Disliked Liara in ME1, grew to enjoy her.

My first play through of ME2 I really disliked Miranda; don't know what happened exactly but now I can't get enough of her character.

Jacob when I first met him in ME2 I was "Eh, boring guy".
But as I talked to him I began to like him more as a bro.
And then I started a playthrough just to romance him despite having heard it was "corny", and the funny thing was, I was actually surprised that I began to like him even more. (Sadly he was trainwrecked in ME3 romancewise)

Mmmm... no one. Every character I disliked did something that made me dislike them even more. And those wo were neutral to me, stayed neutral.

Actually, the only character that I should mention is Udina. He was an idiot in the previous games, but in the beginning of ME3 he was doing a good job, until the coup.

Vega. I thought he was just an annoying meathead at first but he's actually quite charming. I also wasn't wild about Garrus, but he started to grow on me during the second game & quickly became one of my favorite characters in the third. That rooftop scene was so perfect.

Liara.

I hated her GUTS in ME1. But in ME2 and LotSB, she got better. And in ME3, she and I were like, sisters. I wasn't even mad when she impregnanted herself with Shepard's baby.

Thane. I didn't like him at all in ME2. Found his lack of willingness to take responsibility for his actions repulsive. But by the time he's praying for my redemption in ME3, I was crying manly tears.

THIS. I mean, I didn't hate him--it was more of a "oh that's nice, now stop being emo at me kthx." But in ME3 he was just so badass. Yes, I shed buckets of tears at his death as well.

It's sad that so many people hated Jack in ME2 (at least now it seems that many people like her.). I can understand that most of people prefer nice and kind characters, but come on, we need some variety also. Not every character should be easy of approach because it would be boring. We need some rough characters too. Otherwise it will be boring. Not only for people that like chaos, like me.
