It's sad that so many people hated Jack in ME2 (at least now it seems that many people like her.). I can understand that most of people prefer nice and kind characters, but come on, we need some variety also. Not every character should be easy of approach because it would be boring. We need some rough characters too. Otherwise it will be boring. Not only for people that like chaos, like me.

true we do need those characters but its hard to like someone not nice to you especially when your playing as yourself. It's like hi nice to meet you and she says **** off main reason I didn't like her at least. Many times I wanted to say be nice to me or I'll shoot you in the face but she got way better in me3.

But she has reason to act like that. She has been abused, raped and used for her whole life, no wonder she is hard to approach. But if you talk more to her in ME2 she start to act more nice, she starts to trust you etc. It was what amazed me about her.

Usually companions in video games are nice since beginning. They act like they trying to buy your friendship since first meeting, but Jack was different. You have to be patient and tolerant for her and then she changes. I love how first she is confused when you are patient and nice for her, but then she start to be nice for you too.

She is like stray cat or dog. First distrustful but then she changes into your best friend ever ;)

yep she does have reasons to act like that but in me2 shepard had a lot of problems going on as well. I talked to Jack a lot like other squad mates but was never nice to me probably because she was a dick to me so I was a dick to her lol, but thats how it was for me.

I really disliked Liara after romancing her in ME1 on my first playthrough. I don't know why, but it just didn't click at all. But after LotSB I began to like her new, confident and independent self a lot more and now that she's my Shepard's ex-girlfriend she's become his closest confidante. I'll even let her have his baby (at least I suspect that's what happened), so that she and Kaidan can have something to remember him by. They'll make great parents I think.

Other characters that grew on me are Garrus after his incredible reintroduction in ME2, as well as Grunt after seeing him kick ass in ME3. Also, in a way, Tali. I liked her a lot in ME because she was so driven and had her own agenda, separate from Shepard's, but then I felt that she was too fawning, co-dependent and ooc in ME2. Fortunately, she got much better writing in ME3 so now I like her a lot!

I never disliked Legion, but he was somewhere in the middle for me in terms of squadmate rankings. As of ME3, he is now in my Top 5 characters.

He was like that for me as well. His last mission really made me feel bad for him.

Liara.
Tried to romance her with my first Shepard but never could get past Virmire. Her romance simply didn't do it for me, my first full playthrough is with loyal Shepard & Ashley.
Liara's character got badly damaged with LotSB so I liked her the least in ME2.
ME3 she made a huge step forward to "loved character". Still not looking forward to romance her - she's not my type, period - but her content is awesome and I enjoy having her as good friend.

Still I wish I could keep it more professional without Shepard acting like a jerk around Liara - she deserves better.

Also her romance & general content gives an idea how much stuff BW missed to do for other LIs.

Also Jack: disliked her first but finally got in touch with her. She's no way a LI for me, but someone I learned to like and care for.

Jack.. didnt quite like her psycho persona in ME2 but seeing her all grown up and responsible in ME3... my little girl finally grew up. ~sob~

Liara. Didnt pay much attention to her in ME1 and most of ME2... starter to like her in LotSB but in ME3... she is irresistible.

I felt the same way until I screwed with her ehad a bit and found out about that guy in her past...

Then the humanity came in
