By the way...does anyone of you think that there still might be the possibility, that BW planned that all along? They planned something like the "Indoctrination Theory" as a PR action - so they can come out after some weeks with the "real" ending, saying - "Ah! Those of you who believed in the "fake" endings have been tricked - "indoctrinated" by us, the rEApers."?
After all interacting with players to that extend would be...totally new and impressive.

They just didn't count on the fans to be that passionate?

I think it's quite possible
At least if i was good at english i could think of this... to make players feel what indocrination is and take big sh... for a while so then everyone to mention me (if i have this (endings beforehand for greater stun )) and at least if i menage to fool around (deceive players about ending) at the end of so great series it will be great. And it will be remembered so Players to pay closer looks on the things they do when they play So Great Series of games as ME.

For me Indocrination theory is quite right (but i admit i couldnt figure it out cause i didn't pay attention i just wanted to finish the game for first time and then as usual in segond replay i go deep into game)

PS.Bad English

PPS. And as i mentioned above for me it if i were BW would be great if some players menage to understand meanigs that i put in the endings :)

Your English is fine. I can't speak for Europeans or whatnot but with Americans, we generally care more for semantics than grammar.

Yeah. major corporate entities intentionally do harm to their finances and reputations all the time.
This is not what's going on.

If they did plan this from the beginning then a cruel joke has been played on all of us. It would mean their ultimate goal all along was to create endings that would drive additional content sales.

That doesn't make me feel any better about it. It also means that we didn't purchase a complete game. That the final chapter in the Shepard story arc is going to be rationed out to us piece by piece.

What did we do to deserve this?

Just 2 more options:

1. Shep survives, get back to LI and friends, Galaxy rebuilding.

2. Reapers win, total tragedy, everything is destroyed.

addition: they can leave that stupid harassment of an ending that we have now as a middle ground for those who liked it.

Everybody's (me included) happy and satisfied, BW can do another ME game and bla,bla,bla... That simple.

Well, if they planned it, I'd be genuinely surprised and mostly happy about ME. Not so much about BioWare because it'd be a cruel stunt.
And probably the first and the last time anyone pulled something like this.

no matter what bioware has royaly screwed themselves over while trying to handle this. evem if there is ending dlc its hard to get excited now no matter if the dlc is all that we hoped for. it will just leave me thinking " is this how its going to be for now on?" for future games. espeacially dragon age. besides theres a 90% chance this is EA's fault...i wonder if EA and capcom are one on the same

I think Bioware took at least one lesson away from this.

You don't actively court negative press like this. If this is truly the case, if they pull something like this again or if the "new game content" is unsatisfying, it will be even more devastating for them than what happened with this ending. The ending was a bad creative choice, possibly induced by a lack of time. There is no conspiracy here. They wanted the game to have positive reviews and they didn't want to have fans returning their copies, cancelling their TOR subscriptions, or boycotting DLC. Don't ascribe to malace what could just as easily be ascribed to incompetence.

I've been under the speculation that they had planned this from the start, but as the days go by without them saying anything regarding the theory and instead say "we're looking into this, and we'll be announcing new content in April" just makes me doubt, but at the same time, they're not disproving anything and keeping silent.

It's weird but Japan got their copy on the 15th and I know I read a comment on tweeter about them waiting for everyone to experience the game before responding to anything. I'm sure they did not expect such backlash, and to some it would seem like a sign that they did not plan this from the start. However, like everyone else the ending is too bleak and out of place without the indoctrination theory. The indoctrination theory not only helps explain what happened, but it would make the ME3 one of the best games I've ever played. So, it's a big risk for them to do something like this unless it would pay off at the end.

It would be pretty damn genius if Bioware does come out next month and say "Ok yes, it's been difficult to keep it in this whole time, but the indoc theory is true."

Biggest troll in video game history.

I think that they are evil genuises. Who else will make so Astounishing game?
They did one tiny mistake - underestimated our love for ME series and now they have huge shi....t storm on them but they stick to theyr plan no matter what :)

Imagine what will happen if they have Endings DLC and Allso other content ready for specific date and is realy good and for free ... all bad things sayed for them will become all media noise will be in their favor..

For me all things that they say in many news articles are prepared beforehand...

Watch closely angry_joe review on Indocrination Theory

before the end

PS. Cause we are all angry we can't understand whole plot thing with clear heads ;)

Um that ending isn't for beating the game twice, it's if you have enough war assets (like 5000) and destroy the reapers.

I always suspected that there was something a litte of with the ending. It´s hard to think that a company like bioware could drop the ball so hard. Ive read about the indoctriantion theory, and the arguments against it. I don´t know, i want to belive it, since it means that we get a follow up ending.
I really hope we do.

If this was their plan all along (which I hope, and don't find that impossible) it would be the GREATEST move a company in the gaming industry have ever made!

So if it was from the beginning, that means they sold you an unfinished game then. And you think that's the greatest move ever?

Provided that the missing "real" endings are free, I agree.

Pay attention to this:
ME 1 release date : 2007-11-20
ME 2 release date : 2010 -01-26
ME 3* release date :2012-03-06
ME 3 DLC release date:2012-04-06

(ME2)-(ME1) = 2Y,2M,6D   (2/2/06)
(ME3*)-(ME2) = 2Y,1M,12D
(ME 3 DLC)-(ME2)=2Y,2M,12D - for actual releace date i think(something smels as ME3 Demo dates 2/2/12)

Welcome to conspiration theory :D

Besides, Bioware co-founder Dr. Ray already blew the "we planned this from the beginning" theory out the water. So basically Bioware did NOT plan this when he said "Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey."

if they did it's the dumbest marketing move in history. They are getting tons of negative feedback, bad pub, and pissing off a great number of loyal fans. If they come and say "haha we planned this all along here's the REAL ending." then that means i paid 80 bucks for a CE of a game that didn't even have the real ending in it and then had to wait another month to get the ending I was supposed to get. Screw that. I'd get it and be glad to have a real ending but i would be pissed as hell and would likely never buy a Bioware game again, at least not until it had been out a great while and properly reviewed by fans.

No DLC can explain this pile of @#$% ending. If they replace the current ones yes, otherwise its going to be a major fail.
