1. Did you tried to look at this issue in your eventlog (event viewer)? No other additional informations in there?
2. Do you have up to date drivers? (mainboard chipset, graphics, etc. ...)
3. What are yours systems temperatures? CPU, GPU mainly? Check, if they are not overheating.
4. If none of these thing I listed above is a source of issue, then it would be good, if you type in here your hardware configuration including power supply type and manufacturer.

Right-click on "My Computer" / "Computer" / Whatever name does have that thing, choose "Manage". In there expand event viewer, choose Windows system protocols, and there check both Applications and System and look, if you will find anything more to it.

Hey Baboozz,
If you could PM me the following:
Where are you getting the BSOD? Which cinematics are seeing before hand (BioWare/EA logo, etc)?
Any additional information would be great!

you know what baboozz... i highly recommend you do some serious computer testing before proceeding...
there is clearly something else happening that ME3 is simply make more obvious about a problem.
Go and download Memtest x86 + V4.20 (unless there is a newer one).... burn the ISO to a CD or DVD (it's an ISO image, if your using windows 7.. just extract the file and then right click on it and select Burn image)
If you don't want to run the memtest program right away.. do it when your going to be gone for say a minimum of 4 hours.... but it's recommended to run it for 8+ hours... such as when you got to bed and then see what it shows thus far when you wake up. If you can keep it running longer then do so. TAKE NOTE of the time that you started it and the time elapsed... if the time elapsed is shorter, means that while you were away it had crashed which could mean even more problems your unaware of.
To run it just leave the disc in the drive and restart your computer ensure that CD/DVD Rom BOOT is the primary boot device. it'll then start and run automatically.
Another test would be CPU burn in tests, or Furmark which tests your GPU stability.
It may be best to run them independantly FIRST.. and then run them together much later if things seem to be stable still.

Update: I left the game in the main menu (the one with the open computer that show the galaxy readyness) and it crashed after a while. It seems that the problem is not related to a specific point in the game but it's only a matter of time

GREAT NEWS: I tried to use only 2 processors (i set ME3 to avoid the other 2 via task manager) and it seems working!
For others with my problem or similar go to task manager while ME3 is on, find ME3 in applications, right click and select performance control. Then remove the selection on core 2 and 3 (keep only 0 and 1). and try again. I hope this is a solution

Hey, glad its up and running now
) But out if curiosity, what CPU do you have? I have an Intel Core i7 quad core + HT and it's fine with the ME games without needing to adjust affinity settings.

In my case, screen freezes and strange sounds come from the speakers. Ctrl+alt+dlt doesn't help, have to restart PC.
Specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 955 3,2GHZ
MSI 785GM-E51/E65
2xGoodRAM 4 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (1024 MB)
OCZ Stealthxstream 2 600W
It's funny I had similar problems only with EA games (BC2 and BF3 beta).
