So, you attack a company, tossing slander and hate early on, calling for their heads, then try to switch your game up by saying oh we are the victims. Sounds to me like that that in itself is a cry for attention. Bioware is looking into the issue and none of you can seem to move on. How you can you not expect backlash from the other side.

now, i'm not against the notion of a creative work being changed. i've stated on many occasions that it's great that games can be changed after the fact. don't accuse me of thinking otherwise. nor do i think the mass effect trilogy is a work of art. incidentally, i don't believe games are an art form. (not all narratives, not everything that is beautiful, not all works of creativity are considered works of art.)

but i'm not going to sit here & complain because the creative work did not match my expectations, irrespective of what a company told me beforehand. 

imagine a brattish kid gets promised something for christmas & doesn't get what they want— do they threaten to sue their parents? no, they throw out all the toys from their cots. which is exactly what many of you are doing. it's unbecoming of adults to behave in this way.

I spent $60 because "Take Back Earth" was literally forced down my throat. You dont take Earth back. Everyone got shafted on it. I'm not the type of person who will call out every Bioware employee and rip them to shreds. Truth be told I think Casey and the team did an excellent job on the series up until the final 10 minutes of the game. You want my money? give me what I want. So your damn right I feel a bit of entitlement.

Mostly because we don't see how this negatively effects anyone but Bioware. We want the endings to stay for people who like them. Hinestly, what did we do to you guys?

Oh and if Bioware is aware, but we stop asking, they stop caring. Read the PR thread if you care to.

The more and more I see threads like this pop up, the more I see "Hold the Line" as being futile.

I hated the ending, but if the majority of people see us as entitled whiners, do you really think that Bioware has any incentive to "cave" and change this monstrosity of an ending they gave us? They wanted the game to appeal to the casual gamer and the devoted fan.

They threw in a little fanservice here and there (Tali's "picture") to shut people like us up. I don't know what kind of drugs they were smoking when they thought of the ending, but I guess it wasn't supposed to matter because it was vague and we could imagine what happens after the CGI of stuff exploding.

Maybe the bleak ending itself has just left me a little more cynical...

No, they lied directly, saying that the choices of your actions throughout the games would make a difference in the ending.
