Well does anyone have a video of this 'new' council?

In ME2, they talked about how things were kinda up in the air. So I thought, "Wow, ME3's gonna wrap that up, I can't wait to see what happens!"
I play the demo and Anderson says for me to go talk to the council. I told my wife, "My game will be different since the council doesn't exist in my cannon."
Wrong. Old council is simply replaced with new council just like all my old friends who have passed in prior games simply have "spiritual successors" in ME3 (Wreave, etc.)
I was also disappointed that there was ZERO tension between Liara and Tali even though both were LIs of mine.

There is no human dominated council in game. They retconned it.
One of the retcons I actually liked. There is literally no reason why the aliens that have been in power for centuries would just roll over and accept a new council made up entirely of humans. The quarian looking ****s that showed up just thirty years previous.

As for the council, the new council is pretty much the same as the old, they are a bit condescending but they are politicians after all

This was a huge missed opportunity. I loved the "both" option in ME1. It was hilarious. Should've brought it back

I think the only reason they retconned it is b/c those of us with all human councils would have won the game in 20 minutes.
Well the council was very symbolic anyways, I don't think the council could have forced the nations to assit earth really. Then again maybe not. Hard to tell.

but i got a question though, if we cheated LI in ME2 any changings about it during mE3 ? For example:
'You cheated me with a Cerberus B***h or bionic mani*c kinda dialogues ? Or our LI is pretending like never happened and accepted our Harem of Normandy ?

Let the Council die - oh, they're replaced by a new Council.
Let the Rachni Queen die - ...nope, she's there, creating more Ravagers.
Destroy the Collector base - aahh, but the Illusive Man still manages to get enough tech to provide a credible threat.
I know it's probably the technology of the generation that limit Bioware, but still, making grand claims that everybody's game will be different is kinda like Molyneux saying his Fable series will be the next big thing.
I'd've liked to see Bioware gone the 'Alpha Protocol' route in regards to if you do certain things, it has a credible impact (so, for example, destroying the Collector base actually means the Cerberus troops you fight in the third game aren't as strong...maybe even not having the tech to create Phantoms?). Instead, you just get some half-assed excuse to get around it.
Save the Council and lose some soldiers? Or let the Council die and use all your ships to destroy Sovereign quicker? ...doesn't matter, 'cos fighting Husk-Saren is still the same.

Unfortunately this is so true. Damn it Bioware

No, he's talking about if you romanced someone in ME1 and someone else in ME2. Bioware repeatedly said you'd see the "consequences" of it and there would be a confrontation and/or issues between the two and you.
But all it takes is one little line and all is forgiven. Hell, some don't even bring up the issue at all. For shame, what a missed opportunity.

Something funny, I always thought Alpha Protocol was a spy rip of ME. Now it feels the other way around. The games degraded in quality.

I've always wondered about Alpha Protocol. Would an ME fan like it?

A part of me did hope that Bioware would try that. Y'know, you get an email from someone saying 'thanks' or taunting you and you can respond back?
Saying that, AP was a much smaller game, whereas ME is so grand in scale that they probably couldn't feasibly do it.
...hopefully on the next generation they can, though.
