Agreed. I will gladly throw my money at Bioware and encourage others to do so when they've done something about this.

Concession thread has good intention. However, argument seemingly too aggressive. Makes movement out like Palestinian terrorists. Not good for cause.

Never review bombed, the most was impulsive feedback here on BSN just after having finished the game. Ahem.

Sounds reasonable.

@OP: I think you have a reasonable position but I honeslty do not believe now is time to give ground TOO much.

Right now we have some reasonably vague statements that make it look like something will be done. This is a good first step but isn't enough yet to be changing too much.

I believe reasonable compromises would be:

-- Let Bioware know that if they put TONS OF WORK into a new DLC that lives up to the pre-launch statementsthat Bioware made pre-launch AND fulfills the items on the bullet list that we're willing to buy it.
I honestly believe that I got a game without the ending promised and consider it a DIRE INSULT to pay for the promised ending. This is more than compromise enough IMHO.

-- Let Bioware know that if they release a DLC that gives us what we are asking for that we will make it economically worth their while such as:

>> Rebuy any returned games, DLC, etc.
>> Go back and UPDATE our reviews to reflect the availability of the fix DLC
>> Become fanatical [in a good way :) ], motivated sales people of the ME franchise
>> Do everything we can within reason and good taste to help Bioware repair their name, ME franchise, etc.

I think that's plenty fine. Other than the above, until Bioware gives us more, I think we should hold the line.

Great points, this is the way to go.

Also, define review bombing. I don't see any problem with going around and writing reviews that reflect your honest opinion about the game.

As I said: don't expect anything solid for now. This is all they are able to say right now, from a legal point of view. As I explained. If you are of the opinion that we should keep pushing on all fronts until we get exactly what we want, Bioware and EA will be put in the kind of position where it sees no gains in actually delivering. Hence, we concede some of our methods, to gain goodwill, both to Bioware and to the rest of the ppublic, thereby strengthening our own position.

Furthermore, if, in three months time the DLC is released, and we go on a campaign, most fans here will not participate, and most people out there will not respond. Hence Bioware/EA's desire to get this over with as soon as possible. And I believe that, since they made the first step in conceding some points to us, we must show to be willing to do the same.

Most of us may be passionate, be we're not destructive. Muzyka's likely just feeling the pressure.

I think the biggest concession people now need to agree on is that any DLC that incorporates additional endings of any cinematic quality will not be free. Nor should it be. I will pay for it, and would like to believe the money is going to all the 99% of people who had nothing to do with writing the terrible ending.

Good luck with that. Most of you people have made this forum a firestorm of insults for weeks.

Also, the first 'point' shows your entitlement complexes. Again.

I can support this. As GigaTheToast says further up ^ we're passionate but not destructive. If we're destructive, we shouldn't be. Stand up for what you believe in, but there's no sense in burning bridges.

I also like your concise summary of what we're asking for, as all three of those points are important. We shouldn't be telling them blow-by-blow how to write the ending, but instead having something like that - a straightforward framework off which to hang feedback and ideas.

Nobody should be engaged in "review-bombing". I don't know the extent to which it has gone on (I've never been involved with such a thing), but it definitely has to stop in cases its sole intent is to drive the scores down and reduce sales of the game because of dissatisfaction over the ending (if an individual who played the game feels a low score is appropriate, it is their right to vote as they choose, according to their conscience).

Recommendations on whether to purchase the game should be up to the individual. I myself have never actively recommended anyone buy or not buy the game, and don't envision ever being in a position to do so. This should be a matter of conscience, not mandate.

Otherwise, I agree with the sentiment and the statement.
