First off ability scores. Is there two basic ones to key on per character type? Or a prime and a distant second? I suspect I might be diluting their performance by trying to make them well rounded.
What about armor types? I have my rogue in leather because thats what thieves wear right? Will her thieving abilities actually be reduced or can I put characters in any kind of armor I want so long as they are strong enough and can equip it. Same with weapons. Any restrictions beyond can't equip?
Thanks for any responses. As my levels get higher it seems like I am meeting surprising tough enemies. I can't help but wonder if stacked abilities are part of that.
I keep wanting to make these guys D & D characters. A little help pls?

The game was designed with the powergamer in mind, so stacked ability scores will keep you more competitive than well roundedness. And you can equip whatever your STR can handle. Only penalty are the fatigue, which I dont believe effect anything other than special combat abilities.

Unless you are a mage, you won't need magic. Unless you are a rogue or really want to be skillful, you won't need cunning. Mages aren't interested in strength too much. Dexterity and constitution are useful for pretty much everybody.
