Let's not forget. He also enjoyed Broken Steel, which changed the ending of Fallout 3. I think we know what Mr. Moriarty is full of.

I'm still stunned that Forbes is the main journalistic viewpoint for those unhappy with the ending.

Indeed.

I also believe that the M-920 Cain should be renamed Kain.

Sherlock Holmes hated Moriarty 100 years ago. We should learn from that great man.

Forbes seems to be one of the very few media outlets covering this whole debacle that actually get it.

Kudos to them.

I guess IGN was jealous of Bioware's bad PR and wanted some of their own so they didn't feel left out?

And Mr Colin Moriarty got his arse handed to him...again. You think he'd give up by now...oh wait he's getting paychecks to actually spew his nonsense.

Well done!

I've actually lost all respect for IGN and Gamespot over this situation.

Can anyone recommend any other really good comprehensive game article/review websites?
I've been going to those to since they started, but it's finally dawning on me that their time is over.

Is it weird that I'm starting to seriously consider subscribing to Forbes' magazine?

If you haven't yet, look up Zero Punctuation. He's a freelance reviewer (as in, he's not tied to an actual gaming company that I'm aware of), but his snarky reviews are generally spot on with much of the things I agree with. He also champions the idea that you can enjoy something and criticize it at the same time. Much of Yahtzee's criticism (that is, people criticizing his criticism) comes from the idea that he just nitpicks and looks for reasons to hate games; I personally don't feel that's the case. But make your own judgement.

I second this recommendation. I don't always agree with Yahtzee, but he's usually very upfront about his likes and dislikes. He's caustic and snarky, yet I seldom feel that he's unfair in his criticism.

On topic, kudos to Forbes. I remain impressed by their articles on RetakeME and BioWare.

Not very hard to prove Moriarty is full of it, but it never stops being satisfying to see a more respectable journalist smack him down.

I would say someone should bring this up during the obvious trap IGN ending discussion tomorrow, but he'll probably ignore it outright.

This whole thing have made me realize that I shall renew subscription to a monthly gaming magazine here in Sweden. I just realized what a joke all these internet sites is compared to hard working people in that magazine. And I now feel obliged to help support the few people that actually take their work as gaming journalists seriously.

Removed all bookmarks to Gamespot, IGN (damn, IGN has been especially bad and I used to visit them frequently) and so on. I advise all who can afford it to do the same.

I would definitely love to see that. ^_^

I most likely won't be at the discussion thing tomorrow. Can't be bothered to make an account with IGN. If for some reason I am there, however, I would definitely bring it up.

I think what a lot of these people don't realize is that this is a franchise where for several years and across 3 games the players have had control over how the direction of the game ultimately went. Then in the final battle of the final game of this multi-year/multi-game storyline you take all that control away and force everyone down the same path regardless of what you've done previously. That is why everyone is pissed. And I don't think a lot of people, like that dude at IGN, get that.

This deserves a bump.

Forbes is truly our greatest ally.
