"I wouldn't ask them to change it." Um... No actual response to the hypocrisy at all, just skips over it all together other than "it's different". He's still lumping EVERYONE together as the minority. The death threat people and the charity people, all lumped together.
He then spends the next 10 minutes saying we're all calling Bioware names and blah blah. Infamous again, "totally different" "We didn't insult Sucker Punch" "We were basically saying it's the same character so why is he different." Regardless of the fact the artists felt he went through some changes...
Yeahhhh.... And some flat out lies about "we'd have played Infamous either way" which I remember the discussion about Infamous where they said they wouldn't be able to play the game with the new Cole. Really they're going for IGNorant award of the year. I used to respect the IGN crew(Beyond! is the podcast and one of them actually didn't like the ending but he doesn't really speak up much) They then spend the next 10 minutes insulting people again for being loud and small and entitled... Le sigh. I'm over this whole thing.

IGN vs Forbes.
We all know who wins.
I stopped going to IGN years ago, their website has just become too big and bloated... And Laggy
IGN has always struck me as spineless, they -never- speak in support of the consumers and fans, only in favor of Publishers and Developers.
Saw a lot of this going on with Activision years ago on IGN

On the plus side, the ridiculous level of pandering that made that possible pretty much negates all the "Video games are art, don't make us change our art." crap.

but something on subject. I am very disappointed in the whole gaming press, i've always considered them being my "Marauder Shields" if it comes to bad games, or even good games with problems, which could potentially ruin my experience. Have read "Gamestar" (popular gaming magazine in Germany) from they first issue. But for last 3-4 years they started to loos their edge, it all started with absolutely unfair MMOs reviews. Until now i was still trusting them in reviewing single player games, but not after this.

Personally I think a lot of this is IGN running scared. The vast disconnect between user reviews versus what they published exposes their conflict of interest.

Oh man this is great. Forbes is really ripping IGN a new ***hole
Forbes is ripping all the right people of late, especially after they did some research. Will still amazes me. The writer altered his opinion as new facts came to light. You never see that these days.

why the hell did bioware even think about adding a character from a gaming website in the first place, i mean mass effect 1+2 were fine without the commercial chobot. did they all think we were followers of ign and would find it ammusing, then again they thought the endings would have been fine aswell. man they really dropped the ball on this game.
You know what... Emily Wong would have BEEN SO MUCH better than some random new character in a skirt retextured from Kasumi: hidden memory.

Changing stuff based on fan feedback is only good if Mr. Moriarty agrees with it. classic.
